I'm talking emotionally and mentally, but physically as well if that also applies.

The ability make a huge commitment, and stick to it whatever the cost... thoroughly believing in something, and being absolutely determined to stick with it, even through terrible trauma and pain at times.

Loyalty and sticking to rules and routines are common aspie traits, and these can manifest in various ways.

But it's not all the aventurers nor the hard-workers who are autistic.

in many ways i think so. life on the spectrum can be such a challenge. somehow we seem to make it through.

i think the intellectual endurance is a real strength too--meaning that ability to stay focused on a particular question or issue long after others might have abandoned it. i suppose that's the "bright side" of perseveration. (or maybe that's the positive channel of it--not sure.)

In my case, YES! You don't know how many times I went on a short run (1-2), and it ended being 18+ miles. I once got mad at my wife and left my house With my mountain bike at 6pm and returned at 5am the next morning. I will not even start on my paratrooper days in the army.

I spent about £130-£150 on getting my first passport. The cost for the passport is £72 and the rest was spent travelling to get the documents and other parts filled in. Took two months, I had turned 25 and decided enough was enough and get on with it, prioritise it, etc.

YEAH!! I completed Final fantasy 12, the longest single player game possible, within a half year, locked myself inside for a halfyear, even during the summer, and completed it, missing a few bestiary entries, but that doesnt count so much. An average person , (unless you're one of those chinese guys who are mad enough to do it, would use 1-2 years on that game. To play through the story takes more than 100 hours, and that's the SMALL part of the game. You can't do everything in the game with everything collected without using 250 hours, when you play 10 hours EACH DAY. I endured the battle vs the game, it was the hardest ever, but since of my extreme endurance as aspie, i did it, a non-aspie would get psychotic after that! :)

A tendency to "stick to your guns" is listed as an AS trait by some psychologists. Physical endurance is almost certainly not a trait.

Being able to finish high school and graduate with exceptional marks DESPITE the severe bullying which had been going on for 8 years.
