Every time I read a thread and I go to post on it, I get scared in case I upset someone.

I'm not a good reader and I don't always get the point of what the problem actually is.

When I was complained about, I didn't even know what I did wrong, so now I think I just wont bother.

Then, you get other people complaining that no one replies to their threads.

You just can't win.

It's actually made me cry what happened, because I don't go around upsetting people on purpose.

Somebody made me cry. And he made me very afraid, too.

I gave it to the moderators and even though the moderator said he was doing nothing wrong, he made me feel much better. Because the mod took me seriously when I felt afraid, and bothered to consider and respond to me. And that helped a lot.

I hope you feel better soon. You posted, so you aren't banned, which pardon my concreteness means you are wanted here.

It's because I was accused of upsetting someone. That's why I'm bothered about posting, in case I say the wrong thing.

You have trouble understanding the point someone is trying to make and they also had trouble understanding your response. Aspies at their finest! Don't worry about it. I always enjoy reading your responses to people, so please don't stop.

i don't post very frequently and i doubt i even register on the radar here. but i enjoy reading your thoughts and insights; i hope you won't grow shy in your contribution. don't obsess too much over offending people. i think even conservative neurotypical people familiar with the finer points of interpersonal dynamics and propriety, experience such incidents now and again. i assume its a byproduct of the fact that we live in a world with approximately 7 billion people, all with various perspectives and backgrounds. clashes are bound to happen, inevitably, no matter how considerate we try to be.

Aw, thanks everyone for all your responses. I've just got home from work and had a quick look.

You've all warmed the cockles of my heart.

Thank you all again. :)

I seem to have a talent for offending people too, when I don't mean to. It's just part of autism, and I'm learning to accept that if I want to interact with people at all, it's going to require a lot of apologizing and explaining what I actually meant, because my first attempt comes across all wrong!

And yeah, I've given up on trying to offer sympathy to people too, because I honestly don't think my efforts do any good, and there's too high a likelihood I will only make them feel worse. :(

It's not too bad for me IRL because even though I can be a bit blunt a lot of people see the humorous side, because I have quite a dry humour.

But anyway, I suppose we're all a work in progress.

I shall learn from my little incident and be a bit more careful in the future.

I'm looking forward to the weekend now, because I've got the whole weekend off. It'll be my first in about 4 months.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

You are a very nice person.

This is not a good environment for many autistic people.

Particularly ones who are not seen as smart or ones who have difficulty conforming to the norm or do not care to.

Your comments always lighten my soul a little.

And Lord knows there are not many like that on this site.

Glad you are feeling better.:)
