Have you ever been bullied online?
A while back, I was a member on another forum, and I was really badly bullied there.
I got made fun of regularly, people would start fights with me all the time, and everyone thought I was the one starting all the fights and I got accused of trolling several times. Whenever someone started a fight with me, most, if not all, people would take their side, and when I fought back they accused me of playing the victim. People threw shade on me, created threads to mock me, personally insulted me, called me "scary" and "an attention wh*re", terrorised me after almost every post I made, and did a lot of other stuff to me that I'd rather forget about. It was just awful.
If you have ever been bullied online, share your experiences here.
I'm a video game fan who used to go on video game forums. When it comes to politics I am not a liberal democrat or a progressive which causes me to become bullied or forced to leave.
Currently I am being stalked and harassed by taxi lobbyists for being vocal on a major forum for supporting uber.
This has cause Taxi Lobbyists to show up say something harassing and mention uber with the same user names they use elsewhere but then mention personal information about me.
Of course and I have gotten in trouble too for fighting back.
Also I don't think someone being an ass to you or making a rude comment really counts a bullying unless it's really obvious they are trying to provoke you and they are specifically responding rudely to your posts. All I can do is ignore it and it takes away their power or just report it to the mod if it gets to you that much and you feel you cant ignore it or resist responding to them. Sometimes I worry I am just being paranoid but I should trust my instincts you know.

I voted "No" because it never lasted for a long time.
I've been offended however.
-The unual gamer trash talk most people get.
-In primary school someone sent an offensive question with my dad's email to a FaQ website, so we got sent the reply and question as a result.
-I've been called ret*d in a forum before when I did something a bit stupid. At first I wanted to kinda lash ot, but luckily I managed to recollect and solve it in a diplomatic manner, mostly by voting the guy's message down and saying something. I don't remember what it was, but that ended everything.
Probably some other times, but it couldn't have been too bad since I've forgotten about it.
I was a member of an information security forum a few months back. The people were very mean there. They insulted me (sometimes it was sarcastic and I didn't notice) because the jokes they made just flew over my head. I have recently deleted my account on that forum.

Yes. Many times. I won't go into details on each one but there was one that traumatized me in a way that really changed my issues of trust. My ex kept stalking me and harassing me through emails and my FB page. I'm a pretty private person but somehow he managed to get pictures of me and spread lies that I was seeing other guys and women. This was not true and the ironic thing about it was I broke up with him because he was seeing his ex. He split from her tried to get back with me. I made the mistake to just be friends since he told me he was ok with that and before you know, he was hitting on me again. I blocked him and he used other accounts harassing me with nasty messages and then apologizing again. Before I knew it he had pictures of me on reddit and other sites telling lies about me. I tried defending myself against these lies and he seem to convince his friends and family that I was lying. It was a mess and an experience that still haunts me to this day. I wanted to kill myself and with my history of depression and past attempts, I'm amazed I stayed alive. It was very hard and very frightening. All I can say which may not be of much help is be very careful with you're dealing with. People tend to side with those they trust the most without knowing both sides. And people in a pack-like mentality are capable of doing a lot of damage to a person whether or not it was the victim's fault especially on the internet since they are not truly seeing a human being just a virtual one. A person can get away with a lot of things when they're hidden behind the screen. Hope you're doing ok. I know for some of us, bullying can be traumatic and hard to get over.

Yes, bullies sometimes work in tandems. As, long as they can get one person to agree with them, its all they need.
Was your ex by chance a narcissistic?
What they call it is a campaign and the advice I have read online about how to handle these nasty campaigns is to not respond to it, ignore it or else it makes it look like what they are saying is true. Also these narcs can convince anyone that they are truthful such as your own friends and families because they are manipulators so they trick your friends and families by having them believe their lies. It's about control.
Also Reddit forbids anyone posting any personal information so hopefully that got deleted if he posted anything personal about you.

Still not used to the WP layout. @League_Girl, I truly believe he was a narcicist. He was a brilliant liar and he always portrayed himself as a caring wonderful person. I had my instincts, that it was too good to be true. I ignored them because he slowly convinced me that he was someone I could trust and count on. Every time I got upset or stood up for myself, he acted like I was the one being crazy and convinced me that it was all a misunderstanding when he'd go see his "friend". Then he started acting weird and telling other people including my own family that he believed I was seeing someone. I wasn't seeing anyone let alone going out or having friends. I brought it up to him and he pretended he was sorry and then did it again. I got a message from his sister telling me that if I did anything to hurt her brother she'd go after me. I was reactive but had no idea wtf she was talking about. Anyway it was a mess. I tried to stay calm and ignore it but then when I didn't answer he got worse and started posting as myself as being bisexual and looking for fun. He even had my address on it. I reported it and it was slow but finally taken down. Then I started finding by 3rd parties and his ex that he had been seeing her. I got stupid and told him what a hypocrit he was for accusing me of seeing anyone while he was already back to his ex. He told me that he was seeing her because he couldn't stand the bs fact that "I was seeing someone". I rebutted the accusations but he really had everyone convinced and I think some of his friends were in on it. I didn't even know "I" was on Reddit until I got an email notification. They did take it down I'm happy to say and he's been warned. I had to change my number, email, and anything about myself on forums and such.
I'm now in a support group for people who have survived relationships with narcicist. He may not be diagnosed as one but when I read about narcicism, I felt (and I may be wrong) that he fit the profile. He wasn't at all sorry and he has the habit of making people believe what a nice guy he is. He would constantly post pics and say such "touching" bs about his family and his friends. He was always "helping" someone like buying them food or sparing them change. He was always posting crap like that on his FB. Even I fell for it until he started telling me things about what I could to improve myself. And then the name calling but......"Oh I was just kidding stop being so sensative. He played this game a lot. Anyway I think what hurt most was how stupid I was. For the first time I was opening up to someone and because I hadn't been in a relationship before, I guess I was naive as well. Since then, it's made me afraid to trust anyone let alone get into one. I'm pretty insecure as it is and have never been able to grow out of it.

I've heard crazy stories from friends on occasion about similar vengeful nonsense, before people began including it in libel/defamation legislation. As a coder I'm basically troll kryptonite.
The worst I put up with usually is people refusing to research what I'm saying or dumbasses in Xbox live lobbies, hence my not owning a new Xbox...
