It really sucks when you come from a place that everyone else hates. When they put you down just because of your place of birth and tell you that you should be so ashamed of that and that you can't take any pride in what you are.

I really hate people. :x

I wouldn’t knock you because of your place of birth.

It has nice magnolia trees.

how about stop generalizing? quite many ppl never put u down, and i for example, feel offended when u say "everyone", so putting me in that bin. along with other people who never had a single quip about where u were born. and yes, i was on receiving end of this... phenomenon. quite a lot. i am born in a capital, and some ppl hate me for just that. but some is not everyone. even if they are quite a crowd.

Ok so I need to quit generalizing. Sorry.

I had a really bad experience yesterday where some people on Facebook were mocking me about where I'm from all because I said I think we need to get rid of the Confederate flag because it's racist and offensive and replace it with a different flag to symbolize the heritage of the south, and a lot of people on Facebook were making rude comments about the American south and one smartass said that it needs to be a white surrender flag.

But whatever. I hate the whole goddamn country and maybe the planet too.

Eventually I'm going to turn into an old b***h of a hermit like Frieda Claxton from The Golden Girls and be like "To hell with the world!"

It’s just f*****g Facebook and the Internet!

People frequently say things they don’t mean just to aggravate others.

It’s like professional wrestling, tabloid journalism and that ilk....people just want to release their stupid tensions, and take it out on other people.

You're right. I think I'm just too sensitive to other people's BS. :(

It's not that you "complain too much"....it's that you base your worldview on the Internet, it seems to me.

I wish you had more actual contact with real folk.

I wish I did too, but I live a very isolated life that is not of my own choosing. I'm probably suffering from cabin fever.

People don't realize how hard it is to make friends when you live in a city where you don't know anybody and you don't even have the freedom to go anywhere and meet people. I mean I simply don't have that option because I can't drive and I have no money to go anywhere where I might meet people. I know it's hard for some people to understand that but that's really the way it is with me.

Maybe its my own fault for not pushing to become more independent before my mom decided to drop everything and move us to another state 10 years ago where I have stayed isolated from all my friends and family back home.

I was really thinking about this.

What is it that's preventing you from taking the bus? I wonder if your mother has something to do with this.

I'm not asking this as sort of a "veiled criticism."

Learning the routes is not hard----especially the routes that take you to the downtowns of cities. Bus lines of city transport networks tend to all come together downtown in some "transit center."

It cost money to take a bus, and I have no control over my own money because my mom is my payee and because I have BD I tend to impulsively spend money as soon as I get it.

I could qualify for a bus pass but my mom has done nothing to help me get one even though she said she would.

I don't think she wants me to learn independence. It does feel like she always sabotoges me. :(

It does sound as if she doesn't want you to take risks.

In a way, your mother has put you into a bind.

I wish you could talk to her, and say that you feel isolated being alone in a house with no way to get downtown.

I have tried talking to her about it and all she ever does is make promises that she never keeps. Or tell me things like "You don't need to look for a boyfriend here in Pensacola because a lot of people here have syphilus" or "I don't want you hanging out with people here because of the high crime rate" and things like that. Or she brings up my Bipolar Disorder as an excuse for everything. :(

One thing about syphilis: it's easily curable with a couple of penicillin shots. The real concern should be AIDS.

Yes, it's pretty dangerous when you're a gay guy cruising. It's probably better that you try to meet somebody online.

I wish I knew more about Pensacola----but I'm sure there some decent areas around the beach. You can walk along the boardwalk, get an ice cream or something. Just sit around watching the people. Or walk along the sand and watch the water. Or even bring a towel and no valuables, and get into the water.

Most of the college kids who come during "spring break" are okay kids. They just get a little too drunk.

I understand your mother is concerned for your safety---but I wish she would help you more with things.
