That's it. Just feeling down. I got a week off work. Found somewhere I want to go. I don't feel safe travelling on my own. I'm probably just going to have to stay home.

If its too late now, at least you can save a little money. Perhaps it will give you time to find a traveling companion? I don't like traveling alone either, but I have had 2-3 really enjoyable trips. Its hard to find someone trustworthy, but not impossible.

i was going going to rent car and go pet a fox at a zoo 3 hours a way, but nope. I haven’t been in a trip or vacation in 15ish years. Problem with having no friends or anyone, being alone. I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere agains I’m trapped in this four walls that is my bedroom.

Do any of you live near each other? It would be nice if everyone who feels lonely could meet up and enjoy. :)

I remember a really beautiful lady I fancied.. I used to meet her on certain trains I worked. I would have to wait for her to speak to know it was her as I found that faceblindness didn't help. Anyway. One day she said she would love to go somewhere on her holiday. She said there was no one to take her. I suggested some places within easy reach of the railway lines I worked. Some nice locations. I gave her a few timetables. Sadly I didn't see her again and several months later I left the railways. I would love to meet her again one day. Actually I was thinking of asking her out but I don't know if she was just being friendly or if she fancied me too. Who knows.

you should go for it- traveling alone is incredibly liberating and allows you to experience things you may not be able to when you have to negotiate with someone else. I must travel alone- I don't want to adjust my needs or schedule to someone's whims or demands.

Yes, go yourself. You are worth it.

Me too, so I'll just go alone. I have a hotel booked about two months from now, still need to book the trip across the sea. I've traveled alone in my homecountry before, but this'll be my first time abroad alone. I'm a little nervous, but since it's a country with similiar enough culture customs and majority of the people speak at least basic English, common sense should keep me safe enough.

Where is it that you wanna go?

That’s past the chance to do.
Would cost me $200 for whole trip alone. I’ll use it to buy something else.
Family didn’t want to go.
Now they going to summer prices which is $70 a day.

Stockholm, Sweden. I'm the only one in my family who hasn't been there yet (same with Germany.) Going to see the King's castle, the old town, do some limited budget shopping... that's the "have to do" -plan, other than that I'll just see what I can find and what I feel like doing.

Save up and do it when the prices go back down and it will be something to look forward to.

I've been on holidays on my own... it has its good points and its bad points.
If I was going to do it now I'd choose an activity holiday. Choose your activity...
Learn to play guitar
Watercolour painting
How to bake bread
Wine tasting
Horse riding
Etc etc
I went on a course on illustrating children's books once and it was a great week. Busy during the day and you can choose how sociable you want to be at night. And it was run by Michael Foreman... famous book illustrator... in the lovely Cornish seaside town of Falmouth.

I have been to Falmouth. We spent time trying to avoid a mn who seemed to be doing his best to act drunk. My dad was alive back then and he couldn't walk that far so avoiding this man wasn't easy. We (Or I) could tell it was all an act, but what for? Why? Was a while later I found out. It was all being filmed on "Just for Laughs". Phew. Had a lucky escape there! Only been there once. It is a big naval town where there are naval ships to be seen in the distance. It is quite a busy place and we were there when it was quiet. I can hardly imagine what it is like when it is busy!
