I don't find kratom to be helpful for mental pain relief. I would require high doses of this substance which is unaffordable for me. I think I am not responsive to the drug's effects.

Is there some compound similar to or much stronger than kratom that is a legal supplement that provides pain relief? And maybe something that relieves for several hours of day?

I have an opioid-like anti-depressant called suboxone that provides mild pain relief, but it's not enough to keep me fully functional each day. I'm now unable to complete all tasks that are necessary to do each day.

Do not recommend me psychiatric medications like prozac, or other anti-depressants. I've tried probably 30 different kinds and none of them did anything other than a couple making me sedated before bed. I am not responsive to anti-depressants effects on despair feelings and I think they are garbage.

Something similar to kratom that has pain-relieving effects.

What type of pain do you have? Like where is the source of your pain? Nerve pain? Arthritis? something else? Do I state the obvious cannabis? Chronic pain is a qualifying condition in NY though its supposed to be "severe" to qualify.

There are other herbs to vaporize like Passion Flower or Sakae Naa(similar to Kratom) or Fever Few or Lemongrass or Wild Lettuce(produces opioid like effects)

Maybe a combination of all the above might be better than relying on a single herb, iunno. The herbs all have different optimal vaporizing points though.

I was disqualified from medical cannabis in NY because I'm on suboxone. The doctor said I'd have to be off it for 90 days and then apply again. I was thinking of trying to get off of it and switch, but I seem to have nothing suitable to take place of suboxone that would provide the partial pain relief it already gives.

It's just mental pain; the severe blues. How it manifests physically would be abdominal pain coming from digestive system. Like cramps or acid reflux. Just makes me feel worn out and somewhat paralyzed by sitting in chair or laying on bed for too long.

The one you mentioned that struck out is wild lettuce because it has opioid like effects, which is what the suboxone sort of does. I'll just buy one. Thank you.

If you have stomach issues I'd suggest some Lemon Balm, it is calming and often used for digestive issues and stomach pain. Peppermint oil taken orally can help too with IBS. Apple Cider Vinegar can treat acid reflux issues. I really suggest you consider these herbs in your treatment regime if you have digestive pain instead of only relying on wild lettuce or opioids.

Btw how many strains and what colour of kratom did you use? Like cannabis, there are many strains of kratom, some better for stimulation/depression and others for pain. Id suggest green strains for stomach pain.

For kratom I tried red bali, and red maeng da. Mostly just concerned with the mental despair and not IBS. IBS is just a symptom that comes from despair I believe. I just take tylenol for the IBS symptoms.

Have you tried some sort of stimming activity? Something that resets your mental activity?

Didn't come here asking for non-drug forms of relief. Read he whole post and the part that says "is there some compound." I don't stim. Don't need to hear about BS mental techniques that don't work.

Kratom is useless to me. I don't get why people think this is a real drug that provides pain relief or why the DEA would schedule this. I barely feel anything from it. I have to swallow like at least 20 capsules to feel some type of effect which usually is just moderate sedation, which isn't what I need given I need to be awake and feeling content and stable while doing activities during the day.

Never heard of using Tylenol for IBS probably because it doesn't do anything. The lemon balm is calming, doesnt just calm your stomach but your mind too. Passion Flower is calming/partly sedating and a weak MAOI. I mean all you need to do is survive 90 days or so until you can get weed again.

Damiana produces a mild high similar to weed, you could try that.

Are you trying to find a substance that will not show up on the drug test? Suboxone sux for pain relief, but it's great for withdrawals.

No, I don't work anywhere that does drug test and don't play in any sports that test for doping.

A long time ago I was given tramadol which did some good for mental pain relief, but no longer can get it.

I researched damiana and it sounds good and something I'm looking for. I just bought 3 boxes of tea bags and will brew these and hope for best.

If the damiana is good enough for relaxation and possibly some relief then maybe I can get off suboxone. Thanks Noca.

How are you getting the Suboxone then? Suboxone requires a special DEA number reserved for doctors who have been trained on dispensing it to addicts or failed pain management patients. I know because I was an addict. So, my question is not meant to be intrusive, or ugly. If you've been taking the Suboxone regularly, the typical opiate pain relievers will not work because A. Buprenorphine is already a very powerful opiate which is monopolizing your opiate receptors. B. There's Naloxone in it, which blocks the effects of short acting opiates, like heroin or morphine, etc... You could truly harm yourself trying to overcome the effects of this long acting opiate.

An herb might work, but I doubt it. And if you're getting the Suboxone legally, it might not show up on the drug tests they make you take, but they are getting pretty savvy.

If Suboxone isn't helping, the safest thing to do call your doctor. He can help you detox, reset your tolerance and find a drug that works for you.

From a psychiatrist. I guess he has the DEA number needed to prescribe it legally. Great to know that the suboxone has fried my opiate receptors and no other drug will provide better relief. I guess you mean I'd need something super strong like oxycodone or something, which no doctor will prescribe me and personally I also wouldn't go that far in finding a drug for relief.

No drug tests man! I am not obligated to take any and I get it legally. I don't believe there is a substitute for suboxone for despair that is not an opiate/opioid like drug. I've tried all the "crap" antidepressants such as wellbutrin, remeron, and other fancy named ones. I'm sick of people recommending antidepressants. Those things are crap for me personally.
