All these posts I see in the Haven are wastes of time. Venting, which I admit to doing, I can understand. However, seriously asking for support or understanding as something less than what is expected of an NT is useless. It defeats the entire purpose of this site.

Being together like this is to better determine how we can compensate for what we cannot do as NTs, or finding ways to train ourselves to be NT-like without losing our beliefs and moral character (aka, learning to interact with other reasonable people, and not turning into vandalizing, delinquent hoodlums). This is NOT supposed to be a site for playing the ever-so-popularized NT "pity me more" game.

Doing anything less than striving to be the best we can be, such as b****ing about how no one understands us just goes to show how worthless your value as a living creature truly is. I may hate and want to destroy everything NT, but I work every minute of every day to better interact with the people around me, because rather than just avoiding being backstabbed, being something less than what I see others doing is hateful, and disgusting.

If I cannot be and do what others can, I might as well throw away my life at this moment, because I will NOT tolerate being weak, useless garbage. So, I don't see why the rest of you seem so content with it.

hummm. ...

work as only support to my self : check
save for future: check
do my best at what ever it is: check
not a burden on anyone else: check

weak and useless garbage : NO CHECK

all of above checked is probably the reason why the last one is NOT CHECKED

i don't think anyone wants to be weak. but I also think that sometimes people have bad days. In fact, im pretty sure that you probably have too. You know those days where everything just seems to suck? Well, a lot of people have a friend they can talk to about it, but some people don't have many friends or a support system to talk to. So they come here. and I have no problem helping someone lift their spirits so they can feel strong and hopeful once again.

Everyone has moments where they just need to express how they feel.

oh, and p.s.

you're bitching in your post about how much you hate what other people do...

so in essence you're doing the same thing you condone.

Pretty heavy on the unintentional irony, there.

We're aspies, not necessarily Navy SEALS. Sharing our problems is a big part of learning how to name and cope with our feelings effectively. Progress is a process, and there are folks along every step of the way.

Harboring hatred toward a group of people, however, is very troubling. So is evaluating the worth of human lives based on whether an individual is independent or dependent. Seems to me that you might have more pressing matters to attend to, rather than wasting time calling WP members a bunch of whiners.

You shouldn't make the mistake of presuming that people here act exactly as they do in real life. I agree that it is better to solve your problems than to fall into self-pity, but it is nice to have a place where you can say "This is really, really hard."

Actually, I get some sort of exercise every day. I go to the gym for about 30 minutes each day, and if the weather is nice, I go jogging for about 1 1/2 hours.

That behavior, sir, is not consistent with that of a gentleman and a scholar!

Also, I think you're taking the NT thing a little too far. I mean, sure, we live underground, ravage your crops, and mutilate your cattle, but we're not that bad.

as someone relatively new to this site, i must say this is one of the most disappointing posts i have read. or that i am replying to....
everyone needs somewhere to vent. everyone likes to have a 'pity party' now and again. and for someone who has always felt alone with a lot of the things i have experienced throughout my life (before coming here) it is nice to know that there are others who understand what you are going through, and who offer support and advice, without being judgemental. you seem very angry at the world in general, with aspies and nt's alike. you obviously do not descriminate. please...learn to exercise some tolerance. no one if forcing you to come here, no one is forcing you to read any of the posts here. you have choices you can make too.
i do not consider myself worthless. i consider myself human above all else, if you wish to use labels. i have feelings. so do the rest of the people on here. i appreciate the support i have received, and that which i have been able to give in turn.

(end of rant)

This thread is counterproductive.

You mean he's doing the same thing he condemns? If you condone something, then you're for it.

He's not doing what he's speaking against. He's against complaining about how "no one understands me" and not doing anything about it, not about hating what other people do.

To the opening poster I say: Some good points, but calm down will ya? Calling people "useless garbage" is going a bit too far.
