Dwelling on the fact that my psychologist never diagnosed me like I thought he did. He said I had AS but didn't record it for some reason. I feel like I've been lying to all of you.

By the way, I can't help but notice that this is my 3456th post.

You're not lying! Your psychologist either made a mistake or is a liar, both of which you're not responible for!

I thought I had gotten over this.

My vast loneliness is settling in again, but I have something else that's bothering me: finding out that I'm an undiagnosed aspie. It's like they said, "Oh you don't have AS, you're an NT but you're a freak." My psychologist did say that I do have it but the fact that he didn't diagnose me leads me to question whether I have or not. I'm going to be tested soon. I'm sure I'm an aspie, I have to be, why else do I have all these autistic traits and social dificulties? But what will I do if it turns out I'm not? I'll lose my place here. Asperger's is what makes me an individual. But if it turns out I don't have it.......... my individuality will mean nothing.

I'm feeling better than I was. I can't afford to let my irrational thoughts of eternal loneliness keep me down. I must endure. If I don't, then who can my loved ones depend on.

You're an individual whether you have AS or not. If it turns out that you don't have AS, how does it affect your individuality? It's very much a part of your identity now, and finding out that you may not actually have something that's become such a big part of how you see yourself can be a shock, but it's not the end of the world.

You went to a psychologist who said you had AS and he didn't put it in the written diagnosis, but he certainly thought you had AS. The diagnostic report doesn't make it true by its presence and it doesn't make it false by its absence. All a psychologist can do is offer an educated guess as to what you have; misdiagnosis is quite common in psychology because so many things have similar symptoms. You are who you are regardless, and you seem like an interesting person who's quite valued by this particular community.
