Now now boys... no fighting over the armaments! There will be plenty of zombies to go around... although, we will have to mount minicams to record the carnage becasue what good is all that carnage without an audience?

Ackman, Cyanide - I think you'll fit in seamlessly around here. Welcome to the club!

Ackman - how exactly would they handle a Zombie Apocalypse in Creedonia, anyway?

Cyanide - just grab your favorite topic and let it rip. I happen to have a thing for Zombie Apocalypse but don't let that stop you. I started this thread so we can all indulge.

Don't worry about it. This place of all places embraces people no matter how awkward or out of place they are. We are a loving community. Except in the case of the zombie apocalypse, in which case we are a heavily armed army of aspies set to take over the world. Every walmart is our secret base. No poptarts is safe from our grasp. We have shelves and shelves worth of shiny weapons that we use to wave around and feel awesome and shoot the occasional billboard (at least until our nuclear weapons are ready)

I think I love you...

That right there is some high quality, premo snark. You don't see that every day. I feel so special... *sniffsniff*

/shrug A nice sentiment, but some of us can't even fit in with the other people who fit in. It's just like that for some people. Eventually as the people who don't fit in band together it all comes down to the same group dynamics and you end up with the same 'you're WRONG in what you like, say, choose and feel and are not one of us and an evil person' crap. Doesn't matter if you think you have something in common, it won't last after they see differences rather than sameness - those shared pains will be forgotten and they'll do to you what's been done to both of you in a second just to eject the alien from their midst because your difference from them marks you as evil. It's ok though, i mean it is what it is, can't change human nature. Besides, there always have to be some people who are on the outside so the groups can have affirmation of them being better off as a group.

The common belief is that humans crave contact with other humans. In fact, if an infant isn't touched at all, they (the scientific THEY) say that baby will die. The idea here is that all those folks having an extra hard time feeling like they have a place to be heard, to be acknowledged have place to do so. There are no illusions that we all will find our 'perfect match' here - the only expectation is that everyone is a bit left of center. And that I welcome that. I happen to believe that the differences between people are much more important that the samenesses. The only people I'll 'eject' from this thread are those who show intolerance, and outright bullying behavior to those who care to express themselves. Not everyone is going to find a perfect fit here - I'm not sure ANYONE can find someone who matches their interests and beliefs entirely - but they can find acceptance, if not understanding here.

It's ok to be different - even if the rest of the world doesn't believe that. I do. That is all I'm offering.

So - are you joining the club KBerg? Honestly - you don't have to like zombies... I have a wide, disparate list of interests. :)

Heh, as much as I do like zombies, I've just had too much of being told everything I like, think, feel, or do is wrong and makes me a horrible person this week to join anything. But good luck with it, I hope banding together works out for you guys.
