If I ever got to go to college I'm not sure what I would want to study. Maybe art?

Also even though I'm currently very angry with my own country, I get sick and tired of hearing people talk trash about the deep south. How we're all racist, we're all rednecks, we all inbreed, we're all poor white trash, we're all stupid, we're all overly Christian and Republican, etc.

So I made my own clever meme based on my favorite quote from American Horror Story: Freak Show when the german lady Elsa threw some shade at an American World War 2 veteran who was complaining about losing his toes in the war:

"You Americans are so sensitive. You won the war."

Such true words.

Here's my version of that quote I'm going to start using every time I hear somebody put the south down about losing that stupid American Civil War over a century and a half ago.

i am very f*****g sorry, but americans didnt win the world war 2. ussr did. my ancestors fought as entire nation. urs just made expeditional strikes. and yes, this is another dirty act of ur government, trying to steal credit. and yes, i am not attacking u personally or blaming u for it. but please do not repeat those lies.

Yeah you're absolutely right about that.

Now the north DID win the American Civil War against the south, by being a bunch of dirty bastards who attacked civilians and burned entire cities down so they could starve the south into surrendering. And then they did a very half-assed job of reconstructing the south after they won.

Americans always play dirty when it comes to fighting wars. Just like the "war on terror" BS and vietnam. And they always write themselves in history as the noble honorable heroes that they never were.

And I'm still going to use this quote everytime I hear some yankee jerk talk s**t about the south. At least my rewording of the quote has truth to it.

We helped the Allies win the war against the Axis during World War II. We were an essential component for this victory---even before we actually "got into" the War.

Without the Eastern Front (i.e., the Russians), the Axis just might have won the whole thing. The Russians were an essential component of the Allied victory---just like all other members of the Allies were.

kraft, i dont say ur ancestors were not there and did not contribute. but its just incomparable. ur losses count in hundreds of thousands. soviet goes to double-digit of millions. i will not answer any further post on that subject, so we dont have a flame about it.

Absolutely right. Russian deaths were in the millions; Americans in the hundreds of thousands.

The Allies were very grateful that the Russians beat back the Germans at Stalingrad----to great losses on the part of the Russians.
