Ahhhh I relate to this.
If it makes you fee any better, I also feel lonely in a crowd of people because I don't feel connected to them. I can also usually sense from a small crowd when I'm not really wanted and people are just tolerating me, so that's an unsettling feeling.

Wow so it's not only me! Yes! Since passing 30 it is essentially impossible to make new friends. Other women want to flaunt their expertise or career achievements and rarely are capable of relating authentically to you. Men don't want to be your friend, they would much rather date you.

sounds like a fairly common experience in people who have autism spectrum disorder
but also at times by everyone
