We could always just have a food fight.

By both of you both discussing this in private.

If both of you would listen to each other, then I believe a resolution to this is possible.

I really believe Kip is a nice guy. I just think he's hurting.

Even good people make mistakes in the "heat of the moment."

We've done that, didn't help.

Of course he's a nice guy.
I understand he's hurting.
But he hurts me too.

I don't dislike him in any way.

I have been deeply hurt by others, which put me in a sorry state of mind for years.

Identifying myself as a "survivor" instead of a "victim" brought me out of that funk.

I still remember the hurt, and I still remember the people who hurt me.

The key difference is that what they did no longer defines me -- I define myself.

I have to back up Fnord on that one.

In general I really love people, but I'm on WP because of the schism of misconceptions among us all.

Thanks, cberg!

The "schism of misconceptions" is a real pain in the tuchis!

It's hard to remain a "Member in Good Standing" when a simple misunderstanding can get so badly blown out of proportion.

I'm glad to see you, Raleigh.

And so are many other people.

I happen to know that Kip is a smart and talented guy, and wish I could see him, too.

I used to look forward to coming on here but the people I used to talk to and play the "off the wall games" are no longer here, also I avoid the "news and current affairs" and "PPR" as someone had a go at me for having an opinion that he didn't like and he was rude to me so I decided to take a break from WP, I don't think he is on here now though.
