Well we have been authorized to see our children (the over 60's) no hugging and kissing, keeping a distance. My two little blond grandsons (Russian mum) and my son are coming on Friday for a brief visit.
The thing is I am not going to live like a frightened rabbit for the rest of my days. I cannot see my kids without hugging them. Just can't. This weekend I will hug my kids and be passionate with my lover for the first time in 10 weeks, otherwise life is not really worth living.
As we say in Israel:

!על החיים ועל המוות

I wish you well on your get-together. One little word of advise. Move as much of the get-together outdoors. The sunlight will kill the virus and the gentle breezes will dissipate the viral loads. This will make the encounter much safer. You might even plan a picnic.

Great minds Jimmy, with the kids we will have
a picnic.
Thank you for your good wishes. Gyms are open from today, malls, markets. I can't help thinking that the government is throwing all caution to the wind for the sake of the economy. We will see the results in a couple of weeks and re-evaluate according to that.

Gyms?
Wow. Everything at once. Not a good idea.

I'm gonna miss not being under Quarantine.  Being on (another) diet has been easier without going to restaurants, parties, "potlucks" at church, and stopping at a gas station for a fill-up and filling up on junk food as well.  There has been almost no temptation to go off the diet and eat more than I should.  Once Quarantine is lifted, I'll have to start exercising willpower to resist eating everything in sight -- THAT is going to be difficult; but right now, it's easy.

I totally agree magz. They are using alternate machines, it's really dumb. Everything at once except kindergarten. We have suffered less than 300 fatalities so far, which is remarkable. The fear of the health system collapsing is behind us now and everyone is still social distancing and wearing masks, we have robots taking temperatures and administering alcohol at the entrance to stores. Corona is here to stay and we have to learn to live with it.
In a couple of weeks time we will know the consequences.

I don't trust governments, they protect the holigarths and tycoons and not the vulnerable.
I will not go back to my previous life style and while there is a lull in the infection rates I will see my man. It's a risk, but so is waking up in the morning. I am losing my vitality without sex and romance and withering into old age.

I am actually eating much more in quarantine. I have enjoyed the minimalism, wiser consumerism, the calm of solitude. Some of my friends are reluctant to go back to work and rejoin the frenzy.

Here, they allowed opening kintergartens but city-run kintergartens in my area are still preparing for it, they are planning to open at May 18.
Schools likely won't open until the next school year.
Gyms are probably quite low on the list, they weren't even mentioned in any plans I heard. I hope my favorite climbing gym survives. I guess they will, they are good and people like them.

In Israel the majority of us are in the military from 18-45 years, including Druze, Beduins and some Israeli Arabs. We all have to keep in peak condition because of the constant state of war. The fact that this is a start-up nation and a great deal of young people work in HiTech or research and lead sedentary lives, the need to keep physically fit is not so much for vanity but survival. Each of us had/has to give 60 days on average military reserve service annually, (mostly men but not exclusively). The gym is a vital part of daily routine not considered a luxury.

One of my friends is hooked on climbing gyms also. I love watching him on Instagram.

That's a sensible explanation.
My husband owns a set of weights he aquired when he needed intensive rehabilitation after a surgery and now we've organized a tiny gym on our balcony. Also, my children's bunk bed is useful to keep muscles needed for climbing in shape.

Bunk beds are space-saving and fun. A gym on your balcony sounds fun, also fresh air while exercising is very refreshing.

Much more fun than a regular gym. No noise, no smell, no other people :)

Things in Israel are going towards another lockdown. The government has opened things up too quickly and the rate of infection is as bad as it was when the whole country was in lockdown. The young people are not taking it seriously. I predict a collapse of order fairly soon. Protests of every kind, rising poverty, national airline in dire straits, and I suppose like everywhere else in the world the government is dysfunctional. I am hoarding food because I think that soon there will be shortages of basic commodities. I am content though despite only virtual contact with friends and my lover is in the dog house for being too OCD and badgering me to see him. To his credit he has not contacted me for a week as I said I was in need of quiet time. I had a flood in the house and slipped and fell. Thankfully I just had cuts and bruises. The old girl (me) is pretty resilient. My son who is an anarchist insists that Corona is a conspiracy by means of which world leaders will take control and the virus doesn't really exist. An extraordinary percentage of intelligent young people believe this b.s. I am self -quarantining once again because people insist that Corona is no worse than flu and are not wearing masks or social distancing. The world has gone mad .

In a very similar boat here.

Lockdown sort-of-over but not really (clarity? What’s that?) no reduction in infection or death rates of course.
Illegal raves, mass descent of people to beaches, street parties... police being assaulted when they try to get people to comply with such social distancing as is in still in place.
Government scientists resigning...
And the Government itself oscillating erratically between “back to normal” and “don’t relax your guard” messaging.
(And, of course, full steam ahead on no-deal Brexit while no-one is paying attention)

I’m half expecting full lockdown under martial law by Christmas.
(But then I tend towards a happy pessimism  )

Have you got the flood resolved?

Tree roots keep blocking the drains K, the buildings' maintenance man and I are meeting on Friday to come up with a solution. I want a separate drain (I am on the first floor in a garden flat) when the main drain blocks everyones' waste and kitchen sewage floods my home. I am insisting on preventative measures to clean the roots out of the drains every six months, this seems too efficient and logical for the maintenance to get their head round so they don't do it. I actually can hear when it is about to blow, gurgling sounds, and I asked for a plumber the day before the flood as I knew it was just a matter of time but I was ignored. Such is life. I will probably bring in someone to cut me off the main drain and build a separate, partisan drain without permission and face the consequences later because this happens every 3 months or so and is probably what is bringing the rats. Life is one excitement after another

I thought Britain was doing better K, I am sorry to hear that things are not improving.

Sewage problems can be the pits. We have a septic system. It is now over 40 years old. Our system died a few months before the pandemic. So over the winter we were working to get it back online. It was basically two problems.
1. The first was that a septic system needs to be sucked out around every 10 years in order to remove the sludge that builds up on the bottom of the tank. Otherwise the sludge reaches the drain lines and plugs them permanently up and the whole system fails. [I should have known this. But I learned it from YouTube videos after the fact.]
2. The main pipes between the house and the septic tank were too think. Over time they cracked and the jagged edges became a primary blockage point. [This sounds pretty similar to your tree root problem.]
Anyways with much effort we fixed the problems before and during the pandemic and we should be good for another 40 years.

Teach51 there are a number of fixes for your problem. Here is a link. How to Kill Tree Roots in a Sewer Line
I do not know how effective these solutions are because I never used any of them. But you can find a variety of solutions on the Internet.
