And on the note of leaving or transferring schools, don't feel like you're running away or getting "kicked out of town." The types of people who refuse to acknowledge difference are the loons who sleep with pitchforks and torches over their headboard, and if they never grow out of that attitude... God help them all. Because when they do need advice from more experienced outsiders, God might be the only one who cares, if only by definition of perfect divinity.
So if you've put forward your efforts of peace and they're still not listening and you're still being abused, start planning to get out. No one wants to do that, especially if your family has to uproot with you, but life and happiness are more important.
