I am curious, why do you need to 'come out?' I am bisexual* and I could care less if anyone of my family ever knew. Why should they know?

Yes indeed, why should they know if you are a closeted bisexual.
In contrast, the OP doesn't want to be closeted, perhaps, especially to her family who at this point in time ought to know her and support her the most.
gina-ghettoprincess: I agree with nansnick and Jkid. Do what you feel comfortable doing, but make sure you have a backup plan in case the sh*t hits the fan. It sounds like your family "knows" now, but perhaps in denial. It's quite possible that one day that denial is going to wear off, maybe the day you bring home your girlfriend... and in that case, please make sure you're prepared. I did not come out as bi to my parents until two years ago, and they didn't really take it too well. But as I was already entirely independent of them and self-supporting, their disapproval didn't hit me so hard. That helps a lot. Sure I wanted them to accept it, since they're my parents and I shouldn't have to lie to them about who I am, but if they don't, oh well!
~Best of luck to you
