This thread caught my attention, and I got kinda misty eyed. I can sense the hurt in your words, and I can tell you're genuinely heartbroken. I don't know that I can ease your troubled heart at all, but I'd like to add my condolences to all the others. We're all touched, and I'm sure the people here will do all they can to be there for you.

SamwiseGamgee, i am sorry to hear that. :(

cats are the greatest joy and are truly amazing, i know the pain that is the loss of a feline companion - i lost my twin cats one year apart.

my heart goes out to you.

We're not sure what to think. She seems to be her normal self but I've seen her x-ray and it's pretty grim. I'm just enjoying all the time I get to spend with her and trying to stop being so upset about something that hasn't happened yet. Unsuccessfully trying, but still trying.

Samwise, that is a tough situation... enjoy every moment you have. One of my cats, according to the doctors, was not supposed to live beyond a couple months - that was 4 years ago... they're enduring creatures and wonderful friends. Be glad that such a great one chose you as their own.

I really hope she manages to pull through. I still haven't recovered from the death of my cat and best friend in January 2001. But just in case, do whatever you can to make her days as happy and loving as you can. Good luck to you and her.

I've outlived many generations of cats. (And a dog.) It's still unpleasant.

I am sorry, I had to put my ferret Bivis to sleep yesterday, I feel such a big hole in my life.
