My father was a book binder so when I was little I always had paper back books laying around I would read sci-fi and fantasy books just about every other week. I was reading at a higher level then the rest of the class. Everytime they made everyone read infront of the class I was always getting in trouble for giggling and snickering at the kids who were slow readers. I remember saying stuff like come on its reading and grammer not algrbra. I wonder how many kids hated reading because of me.
I remember a boy in my class when I was 11 and he had something. He had a disability and you could tell just by the way he looked and he couldn't talk to he had this card with him with letters and he could communicate that way by pointing to the letters by spelling them out and hitting the space key. He also couldn't write so he used a laptop to do his school work on. He had normal intelligence but he had difficulty with his muscles so he was unable to speak and write and he wore supporters around his ankles. But one day my whole class was handed a piece of paper to read out of a Dr. Suess book. We each took turns reading what we had in our hands and when his turn came, I would laugh because he sounded funny when he read it because you couldn't understand him and I couldn't hold my laughter in.
