Not sure if my parents secretly want me to date?

Isn't that a bit hypocritical? You say you prefer staying at home. So does Peko. How come it's ok for you?

Your parents definately want you to get into a relationship. How do I know this? Because they are your parents. It's what parents want for their kids.

They will not give up hoping until you are in your 30's. Maybe not even then. There is really nothing you can say to make them stop wanting this. Buit if you always say "I haven't met the right person" they may give up talking to you about it.

Some never give up. I recently read about a website where parents want people to date their grown children.

Well, you're 19 and you're in college. You're more than old and mature enough to make decisions for yourself.

Pretty sure that isn't any news to you, but I suppose it's refreshing to hear.

The fact I'm in college is another reason I don't want a relationship on top of other personal autie related issues. I don't want to be distracted from my work to an extreme degree and (to put it mildly) not everyone in a college environment actually puts their work first... Ironically, my parents even admit that I look and act a lot younger than I am (I'm guessing I have toddler, kindergarten, and 12-17 year old characteristics mixed up with very few adult characteristics in a "19" year old body) so I'm not mature enough to have a healthy relationship anyways :)

The fact that you realize this means that you're more mature in other ways than you realize. :D

I wasn't ready to be in a relationship until my late 20's (and I used to think that I never would be at all). We all have to do things at our own pace.

conundrum: Even though I want to concentrate on my work I still socialize a lot while at school. I'd say that there's a chance that I'm in the minority who has not pulled a all nighter in my first year of college. Latest I've stayed up 'til was three
