Mit

I'm not that much younger than you. I can cook packaged pasta and ramen noodles. But to make a big meal like steak, baked potatoes, baked ham, those things I can't do. Afraid I may burn the food. I did try and make cookies, but it turned out terrible. I got so mad. I'm truly hopeless. One of mom's friends is a great cook even though she never finished school. She grew up poor in South Korea, but still she is one amazing cook. I don't know where she learned though. She's not a smart woman, but very sweet and kind. The stuff she makes I can't even make. Maybe she took cooking classes or reads a cookbook or someone is cooking with her. I did try this recipe from Weight Watchers "Banana Bread" and it turned out ok. Anything that their website marks as easy I try. But there are a lot of foods I can't eat anyways that I would love to eat. I have acid reflux disease and a bladder disease and have to avoid any spicy or acidic foods. Chocolate is completely out and so is tomato sauces. I have to eat my pizza without the sauce, pepperoni, sausage. I eat my burger plain too. No seasoning on the meat. It is truly sad.

I like Victoria Beckham's stock bob hair style. I got that done in the spring and it's time for another one. But it's hard to manage it and I watch carefully to what my stylist is doing, but I can't copy it    I also watch the person doing make up on me and can't copy it either. Make up artists are professionals I guess. I have gone to a Origins counter and an employee there put on eye makeup for me and I looked good. When mom used to put makeup on me and fixed my hair prior to a piano recital or choral concert, I looked good. But mom won't be around forever.

It takes PRACTICE ! !! Try doing it over and over. We Aspies have a tendency to be uncoordinated. It takes a bit of work, and diligence. Besides, look at Wino, she uses a magic marker for eyeliner.

Does anyone have issues with their siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, looking down on them? I thought that if you have any form of autism that there should be more love involved. My uncle and cousin on dad's side look down me. I can tell by their body language and facial expression when I talk to them. I never did a thing to harm them. My cousin is few years older than me, married, and has 4 kids. She thinks she's a goddess because she's married. Does marriage make the woman a better person than a single woman like me? Does having children means that the woman is better than a non parent?

You have mentioned some lovely talents that you have... your Mom has fixed your makeup and hair for a piano recital and before choral concerts, so you are musical, as well as being a college graduate in full time employment. That's more than most people. Well done you!

I can't do my hair or wear makeup either. You get used to it.

It seems like you can cook! I mean I say I can cook but I can't make like a fancy dinner. I like simple foods, I like the taste of it. Like boiled potatoes and sausages, or fried up a bit spicy mince meat over spaghetti. Only issue is you have 2 pans to keep track of.

As for makeup, it is hard living in a culture where makeup is normal. Personally I HATE makeup. I feel it makes peoples faces ugly. Sometimes they even scare me because they don't look like real faces anymore. OK, I'm probably unusual, but whatever you do, there is always someone that will disagree.

Have rarely seen people that can make their hair like fresh from the saloon, I bet they fluff you up with something utterly toxic that you can't buy in a normal store LOL.

Clothes is a matter of taste. People look at photos that are 15 years old and they always laugh at the fashion back then and in some years people will laugh at todays fashion. Wear colors you feel good in.

Remember you cannot please them all, try to please yourself. :)

An undergraduate degree is more than I have! Cooking skills are nice but in this day and age, good carry out is everywhere. Plus, frozen meals have really improved. There are an awful lot of meals and side dishes in the grocery store that simply require heating in a microwave. Serve them on a fancy plate, a little wine and candles and you'll be fine.

As for makeup and hair, do you really like being made up? Looking like a magazine cover takes time and effort. One ride in a convertible car or a rainstorm and it's all over! Many guys will agree subtle is better. There are permanent cosmetics too if you wish to take that route.

The only reason I don't still ask my Mother what clothes coordinate with what is that she died when I was nineteen. My sudden lack of sartorial advice was the least of my concerns. I really miss her.

Regarding fashion, I ended up deciding "sod it" and decided to dress in jeans, baggy teeshirts, and matching black outfits. I used to keep my hair very short indeed, but recently haven't bothered to cut it, so it's gone mad and curly again. I just bunch it all in a pony tail, and it will pass. As far as not wearing make up, I'm now just short of forty, and my skin is far better preserved than that of friends and relatives who wore make up all their life. Although I look my age in some ways I have the skin of a much younger woman. I know for a fact that I'm envied for my skin, and I know for a fact that if I'd been wearing makeup all these years it wouldn't look so good.

So, don't worry about it. As my Granny always used to say, "you get the face you deserve." One day you'll wake up and realise that you have your own unique beauty, just the way God intended. Who wants to look like a painted fashion model anyway?

You are not worthless at all. Make up and clothes aren't whats important, it's what's inside that counts. I'm 31 and I wouldn't have a clue how to do any make up. I'm glad my daughter's step mum showed her before she asked me   That saod if it really upsets you maybe they would help you or you could look up videos or tutorial type things online
