Feeling down again. :(
you talk about religion and god like they are the same thing, which they aren't. If being fat is the problem and it is as bad as you claim, then you would fix it. Maybe you are being tested. Do you want a guy who is only with you because you look good? Do you know how boring that is? If you were the hottest girl on the planet you would attract a guy who is only into looks and eventually he will get tired of you and go find someone else. Here is a secret that most people don't know. Girls that look good get used for looking good and that is all they have to offer. Think about it. There are so many good looking girls that it isn't fun for guys anymore. I mean, you get with them but there is nothing after that. It is stale and dead. Girls need to be interesting and unique because the looks thing is getting played out. Im tired of going around and seeing the same attractive, dumb, women who have nothing to contribute.
Oy, religion and God both screwed me over so I still feel contempt to both entities. :/
I have been trying to fix it. Trying to lose weight at college is really hard since everything is either covered in pesticides or fried and greasy. So right now I'm just trying to maintain what I lost over the summer, which is proving to be a challenge in itself. >.<
Being tested for what? I'm confused. D:
Um...I've never heard a heterosexual guy complain about how he's tired of dating/f*****g beautiful women. I'm interesting and unique but I feel like it hasn't benefited me at all yet. So if I was interesting, unique and a little hotter, I feel like I could get my foot in the door.
Pistonhead - Lol, that's great. XD I slept really well. Booze is sooo much better than Nyquil. ^_^
Erisad,
I'm 45 years old, I've lost most of my hair and I weigh almost 300lbs. I'd love to lose weight and get down to fighting shape but at 45 that's going to be really hard to do. I also flunked out of college I might add.
You are 21 years old, and working on a college degree. You'll be the first in your family with a 4 year degree, something to be quite proud of. I think when you're done your Mom will be proud of you. I would be proud of my children accomplishing the same.
At your age your metabolism is set much higher. Losing weight, should you decide to do it, might be easier than at my age.
Find what you really like about you. You sound intelligent. It also sounds like you have the discipline to keep up your studies. Two very good characteristics. These are two qualities I've noticed just in this brief conversation with you. Surely there must be more.
Do guys come to you for help with college classes? If not, perhaps you might want to offer that service.
I know you're in the anime club and it sounds like you're in the SCA or a similar organization. I bet you're a gamer too. Spread yourself around and circulate, meet more people. Think shotgun pattern, eventually something will hit.
Even if it hurts at first, smile alot. Eventually the smiles will become real.
Some people ask me to edit their papers/scripts for them and I do it for them. Most of the people who have asked for help are girls though. One guy did but he's in a relationship and I don't think he'd even see me that way. *shrug*
I don't have the time to join any more groups than I am in already. When I do have time, it's during winter break or after I graduate. I'll be either at work or at home. I won't be doing much since my friends all live so far away from me.
I am trying to lose weight. Sadly, the food at college is horrible for that goal. At this point, I'm just trying to maintain what I have lost already. I think I'm losing progress though.
...Mom will only be proud of my degree once I get a job. My brother hasn't worked in his field yet even though he graduated in 2008 and she hasn't praised his Associate's degree at all. Also, Mom won't let me experience any emotional satisfaction until I come back to Christianity, which will never happen. She'll give me guilt trips until I submit.
Let's see...Um....I'll have to get back to you on the "what I like about myself" thing. I have class in 20 minutes. XD
Okay, I went to the "Love Your Body Day" event held at my school for two hours and it was amazing. I had my fingernails painted, my hair straightened and styled, a makeup artist showed me how to get better with applying makeup and I got a facial with aromatherapy. I feel much better now. There was this full-body length mirror there that we would put post-it notes on saying something positive about our bodies. I put "You have pretty eyes and an adorable face. Your boobs aren't bad either.
"
There was another board titled "Apologies to your body." I took my pen and wrote down, "I'm sorry for not recognizing you as a part of myself that deserves love and respect." I almost cried. >.<
I think it helped me out quite a bit. ^_^

I'm glad it helped you.
You get too sad about it too often; it's lovely to see a nice positive attitude. :3

I know I do. It's a flaw that I'm working on. It'll take a long time for this attitude to be consistent but I feel that this is a good start.
Yes.
everything starts with small steps!

Small steps and consistency do help when you're trying to change things.

Im happy to see you have done some progress and I hope it can last for a long period.
I hope you can start using what you have learnt at the event soon and you have better luck with boys but please try to avoid overusing makeup. I had this classmate last year that tried to "hide" her acne under make-up. Apparently almost everyone at school referred to her as makeup girl and they liked making fun of this every now and then(I doubt thats what your self steem needs right now).
I hope I dont come across another thread by you here on The haven on a long period.

I usually only use mascara and lip gloss. I only put foundation on if I have something important going on. Most people don't notice that I'm wearing makeup, which is the point. I just need to get an angled brush to put a line of powdered shadow beneath my lower lash line. Not across the entire line either, like half of it from the outside crease to the middle. >.>
