Why are lots of neurotypicals so cruel and narrow minded

When I see a black person walking along, I don't stare at them funny, and neither does anybody else (they shouldn't anyway).
Same as when I see an unconfident-looking person walking along - I don't stare at them funny either, but other people do (ie, they stare at me).

Why does someone who looks unconfident have to be stared at? If NTs know better at social rules and empathy than we do, they why do they point unconfident people out for, making the unconfident person feel even more unconfident than they already are? Shouldn't they have a bit more empathy and/or sympathy?

I find a good number of aspies to be narrow-minded as well. It's just people. Most of them don't bother to think beyond their noses (or butts depending on which one sticks out farther).

Make it 'Why are lots of people so cruel and narrow minded' and we have a thread. One that would require a long answer though.

Though basically it comes down to fear and (in)security.

You are right.
It gets a little stereotypical when Aspies keep on saying that Aspies are one thing and NTs are another. We probably all share some or most human traits, because, at the end of the day, Aspies are people aswell, with faults and quirks. Some people on WP go thinking that Aspies are perfect and NTs aren't, or vice versa. Nobody's perfect, everybody's different, and we all often think out of our arses sometimes. (It's probably what I'm doing now because I know that I will soon discover that I've accidentally started an argument).

Perspective: it's something that everyone needs more of.

Becuase most people, regardless of whether or not they're NT, are a**holes.
