This kind of behaviour is just indictative of the mysoginy that permiates this forum. I hate to say it but it appears if you are an attractive young women then for gods sake please avoid an aspie forum. This is increasingly more and more the case to me that young women and adolesecents on the autistic spectrum are possible the most marginalised majority of our entire population.

I come across women on the spectrum all the time in my career. They actually are by far the most overwhelming population of people on the autistic spectrum I am involved with due to a lack of support, understanding and service provision for them. None of them have a nice thing to say about this forum. None of them who have briefly ventured here have felt welcomed or comfortable when lurking and reading the kind of attitudes that are conveyed on here on a daily basis.

I think it is a crying shame that other aspies are a force of exclusion and prejudice for such people who also require help and support or somewhere to go to feel a sense of self validation.

The individual who posts on here as Emilion we all have opinions of good or bad. I don't relate to her posts myself, but I respect her presence and entitlement to be on this forum and to feel somewhere that she can express herself without scorn or hostility.

I intensly dislike the way some of you choose to intentionally attack someone who is in the recovery of an experiance of brutal dehumanisation. Yes, this is the internet, it could all very well be a made up fabrication and an attention seeking story. I think that is irrelevant of the point some of you have chosen to still take the opportunity to attack this person, this VULNERABLE person which is such a fundamental act of cowardice.

It should not and cannot be tolerated for the long term health of a community such as this. Regardless of our personal opinions and feelings towards each other that we judge from text on a screen I think it would benefit some of you to be remined that there are other god damn human beings behind those usernames you are used to seeing on here.

I wasn't referring to you as a detractor, and 'little' is a metaphor for small mindedness. It doesn't take much effort to 'get it', you don't need to have friends to understand, its obtuse to think that people are defending her for the reasons you assume.
