I'm very much the opposite. It's troublesome sometimes with my work if I'm expected to manage the entire project. I prefer to work on projects which someone else is managing, so I don't have to worry about the big picture. When I was learning to paint, I would do it by getting very detailed in one small area and then expanding with equal attention to detail from there. This resulted in really distorted images because I wasn't stepping back to look at the whole thing. 
Ha, that could be interesting to attempt as a deliberate art technique.

I also live by 'Feel the fear and do it anyway.' Actually a self help book by Susan Jeffers. I've never read it but those words alone are wisdom.

I read that book, and I really liked it at the time, and the sentiment is one I still agree with.
