If you had a friendship with this girl, build it, be nice, be normal and then tell her how you feel. Also since you're in school, be sure to keep in touch because the school year is almost over (14 normally means highschool coming up) so get her number to keep in touch.

She knows I like her (how awkward!). Did I mention once the school year's over, she's moving back across the country? Double awkward!

To hyperlexian: I think it's a little more than attraction, but I'm scared to find out!

oh, that's cool! :D

What were you referring to as "cool"?

confusing is normal, i think. that's the nature of strong emotions and new hormones.

Well, I wish this wasn't so confusing. I wish I knew how to address these emotions. I'm questioning my own actions, so when someone mentioned I was flirting, my mind simply went haywire!

ok that's fair. didn't mean to jump to conclusions. what did you think you were doing?

I didn't mean to presume you were flirting either. Just the whole "not letting you leave" seemed like you were coming on to her. It could be viewed as stereotypical playful and flirty behavior. For you it may have just been instinct to be near someone you like and being "cute" with her (also which could be seen as flirty).

Nah, I see your viewpoint, it's just I wasn't really sure what I was doing. BTW, what does "coming on to someone" mean?

coming onto them means hitting on them/picking them up/trying to get with someone, like a person would do if they wanted to have a girlfriend.
