yeah, that's difficult, I'll kind of put on my thinking cap.

That usually when I'll roll my eyes and say, "whatever" and leave the room.

Oh god, I'm so sorry. Your family seem to me like they are bad for you. Your mother sounds like an absolute nightmare. Children should never have religion pushed upon them.

You just don't get families like that in New Zealand.. some Americans are so conservative and intense. Where abouts are you trying to get a job?

Well, I got a temp position posting for a feminist blog. So I have something. I get paid based on the size of my audience so I'll be trying my best to get a nice audience. Either way, I'll have something to add to the ceremony. ^.^

Yeah, my mom said to me before she went to bed to, "not be a pain in her butt tomorrow, okay?"

Isn't it hellish to be educated, intelligent, and able to make one's own determinations?

We're not currently hiring, or I'd tell you where to send your rezoomi.

Professional Writing, minor in Literature. I'll probably post links to some articles here to WP so I'll get some people. I'm excited, my first paid (even if it's not a regular paycheck) writing gig. ^.^

I feel the same way about Texas at times. While I don't have the parental issues that you have, society here is pretty black and white.

Either you're a left wing hippie-type, or you're a ultra-right wing religious fundamentalist.

Um...as long as I'm not intentionally offensive, it should be okay. I should ask them if it's okay for me to share my posts on my facebook and other sites.

Yeeeah, that really sucks. I'm more leftie I guess but I'm not a hippie. I'm just educated, that's all. >.<

Don't worry about it. I left my parents' religion over 30 years ago. It was rough at first, but after I'd been away from home for about five years, and I refused to interact unless the interaction was respectful, things got better. We never did see eye to eye on religion, but we were able to leave the arguments behind.

Hopefully that's what it will come to. I just hate the awkward feeling every Sunday when they're watching the Televangelists and I'm in the other room on the computer with headphones on to block the BS. One day mom was watching a program called, "Pray the Gay Away" and I just wanted to cry. You'd think they'd be more tolerant since one of their own is a homosexual but noooo. "Hate the sin, love the sinner." What a contradictory statement. How can you love someone when you deny something that makes them who they are? It's ridiculous.

It was on Oprah Winfrey's network too. It had that title but showed the experience at the Christian Camps where they try to literally "pray the gay away" and transform homo/bi/transsexuals into normal straight people. I heard from the other room (I couldn't watch) and it was horrifying. "Resist the evil urges and live the life that God intended you to live!" and "If God approved of homosexuality, would he not have made a way to reproduce from it? Hence why it's unnatural." They showed people who were "changed" by it and those who weren't. I'm just appalled by the title alone. I think they should have tried to pick something else but they wanted views and they got it.
