Just out of curiosity do you how if your therapists have a background in Gestalt therapy, energy medicine, energy psychology, and/or Neuro-linguistic programming. As thoses modalities do focus on where emotions are in the body

I don't know.

I differentiate depression from sadness. For me depression is felt more in the head, behind the eyes, while sadness is felt in the chest. Depression is also more of a mixed feeling with a lot of accompanying tension that minifests as bitter/irritable, while sadness is a pure ache in the chest area. Also, the feeling of depression is more akin to nausia while sadness is more akin to a sharp acute pain.

Strong emotions (of any kind) I feel as a force projected into the area just infront of my face it feels like two shapes that are emitting from my temples to the top of my skull

The men with white coats will be here shortly I can tell

if nausea can be categorized as a feeling, it rises from the stomach, goes upwards to the throat and stays there and is usually combined with a general sense of uneasiness and instability. :eew: Therefore the lack of balance and security is migrating along the spine line and focusing on the focal points of throat, mouth and stomach.

When I feel overwhelmingly depressed, I feel as if weights have been put on me, literally, and all over my body; it makes moving around very heavy. I feel it everywhere, but the least in my feet, I guess....

I can't remember how happiness feels, right now.... except that it makes me very light, and the colours become much more vibrant, and light becomes beautiful instead of annoying, and most distant sounds, outside, don't particularly annoy me (if at all), and anxiety is wiped out. Last time I felt that was almost two and a half years ago, now, and it was only briefly during one day. -_- As I remember it, I felt it in my whole body... really everywhere; not just at some particular place.

Anxiety makes me feel warped.... like I'm being pushed together from all directions while my soul is being attempted to be pushed out of me. At times, I believe it's almost happened; just am so much better at fighting it, nowadays. I feel that in my whole body, too.

I think I always, more or less, feel all my feelings in my whole body.

I feel sadness in my throat and my hands. It feels like something heavy and cold is lodged in my throat, and my hands go from tingly (like when a sleeping appendage is "waking up") to painful the more upset I get. My hands don't really start to hurt unless it's a full-blown, no-holds-barred meltdown at risk of turning into a panic attack.

Anger feels like warm pressure all over, mostly concentrated on my arms and scalp.

Positive emotions don't tend to feel as strong, physically. Certain things (words, songs, a look, whatever) will cause me to overflow with love for my boyfriend. I suppose that's the strongest physical sensation I get for something positive. It's very similar to sadness, and I feel it in my throat, but also in my belly. Love feels more like squeezing, whereas sadness feels like expanding cold.
