No, I don't feel like I can't control my drinking - yet, at least. Yes, I agree, it has to *feel* something - that it's "helping" - it's my way to self-medicate. If it doesn't work, or works less, you're just on the way to becoming an alcoholic and must cut down. I really have to be careful with the alcohol, though, because if I ever do find my true love, I want to be able to drink with her without it being a problem for me... being able to do that, with her, would be of great value, to me. It'd be one very fun thing to do with her, from time to time, that sometimes even could enhance our time together, at that moment.
I didn't "lead" myself to believe it, though.... it *is* the only thing worth living for. I don't understand how those who feel otherwise think... I think some of them are simply in denial.
Well I self medicate with cannabis, I try and leave drinking for when I don't feel like crap......though I admit sometimes I do drink to feel better.
Well I guess i just don't see how it is the only thing worth living for......that could be partially because I don't feel I will ever have that so why should I focus on it? so maybe it is denial I don't know...Is there anything else you would want out of life?
1: Well... that's what true love means, as in not fake, like other love that one may have experienced, before, but which ended. Your true love is the soul with which your own soul will merge, and who you will end reincarnation with, to reach perfection, together, in eternity. No, I don't have any proof for this, but this is the only logical conclusion that has been possible for me to make.
There are things other than true and fake though. It could be that a piece of your true love is in one person and a piece is in another, for example. Is that the easiest way for things to go? Maybe not. Is it just as fulfilling? You kind of have to live out your life to see but yes there is the potential for it to be just as fulfilling as an archetypal one true love.
2: Well, if I'd be able to halt the aging process, very soon, I guess I could wait for her until I'd be 500 years old. Except that I'd have lost my mind, very long before such an age, of course. In fact, I'm already becoming very tired of waiting, and restarting in another life is starting to seem appealing, to me... and I can't ever become old, either. At 39, I will have to die, regardless of if I have found her or not.
You're 30. You're young, Everything could change tomorrow. EVERYTHING COULD CHANGE TOMORROW. Or today. I guess it's past midnight there. The first steps toward finding someone you are happy with could start today if they haven't already started unbeknownst to you.
3: I disagree. Death is the ultimate form of happiness you can reach, if it's romantic death, together with your true love. "Death" is not death, either - there is no death - just a change in the state of existence. In the case of romantic death with your true love, it's like evening out the edges, for a lack of a better expression, to make everything exactly as it is supposed to be.
That in idealistic, pure-idea form is true. But proof that it's true in real life? An oxymoron. There is no death in real life. As it's often stated no one's ever returned from the dead to report back how it;s going there.
4: There are plenty of religions that attempt to make everyone happy by default. I have always preferred the truth, though. It isn't useless, at all - the very contrary - my faith in this has kept me a virgin, all this time... hadn't it done that, and I would've already had a physical relationship that would've ended, I'd already be dead, due to the importance to virginity, to me. Actually, that likely was very close to happen, two and a half years back, but a sudden twist of fate kept me and the girl in question apart.
What do you say about truth = beauty? Truth is the highest priority to you. Therefore it's the best thing to you. Therefore it's the most beautiful thing. Therefore it makes you happiest. Therefore your faith is no different from religious faiths whose goal is ultimate happiness.
It wouldn't be destroyed, through that suicide pact... it'd be the final, completing part. I'm not sure what the beauty is of growing old, together. Sex means everything to me, and old, smelly and unattractive isn't a compatible thing to that, to me.
Sex is supposed to be sexy, and therefore, one must "die" early on.
The meaning of "sexy" is attached t the meaning of "sex." Sex is more than just lustful communion with someone youthful. I cannot really address your concerns in full cause I'm not 80 but I think that what is lost in youth is gained back at the very same time as dearness and preciousness of what remains, of the fact that this thing you love is still there and magic and wonder that you can love and want something though its form has changed. There is a lot to be said for unconditional love. SO much no amount of words would be sufficient. I think that is one of time's main lessons, to teach people to love unconditionally though the outer form of something may have changed, and that is much more true and valuable than love dependent on original youthful beauty. In my speculation.
5: If love ends, it is, in the end, pointless and not true love. By the way, that's another reason for the romantic suicide pact; due to flaws in the human mind, love tends to become far less exciting after at most seven years. Therefore, one may need to safeguard against that, as well, so the flaws of one's human mind won't ever get to corrupt one's love for each other.
It tends to but doesn't always. I've heard people who've been in long relationships say the feeling never left them.
Everything ends. Everything, everything ends in one way or another, sooner or way way later. That doesn't mean it wasn't real..
Sorry for sounding rigid in my response. I appreciate that you want to try to help, even if I can't listen to it.
My way of seeing things isn't depressed if I'd find the girl for me.
Then it'd be the perfect way to see things. Romantic death, as well as all the rest I believe in, is terribly romantic.... but then again, romantics often end up miserable, due to their obsessions with perfection. It's just a consequence, much like how those who keep seeking the truth about worldly events and matters end up very depressed.
I understand. The horror at things never being perfect and at deterioration affects me strongly too, to the point I've spent much time being suicidal over it also. But. I get through "imperfection" and "deterioration" and find myself still here and in a way more intact than ever for having survived it... life is more precious... believe me I know as someone who wants it all or none at all it is hard to compromise but so don't see it as compromise, see it as finding beauty and wholeness in surrender to uncontrollable chaos That is the best advice I can give if you want to try to be happy. That and to keep getting mental health support.
Nothing's going to change.
As for keeping to get "mental health support"... I have stopped going to my "therapist". She was the "best" one I've had, so far, but she still could do nothing at all. None of them can do anything. I just sit there, talking, while remembering not to say the 'suicide' word. They are all fùcking worthless. Spending the money it costs on stuff, instead, is a far better thing to do, for my "well-being". At least stuff can make me moderately content for several hours.
God I hate my life. o_o Fucckkk..... so POINTLESS.
I really should kill myself, very, very soon. This world is just too horrid to live in, and I will not find anyone who will make me feel any sort of happiness.
I don't want to live in this disgusting world, so what am I waiting for?
I should kill myself with carbon monoxide very soon. :( I should, so why won't I? I have to die - I HAVE to. There is no point in hoping for anything. I'm already thirty... I was supposed to give up, by now, already... really, though, I should've given up in the summer of 2009, at least, when my ex was unfaithful to me. Or at least in the autumn of 2010, when my other ex was unfaithful to me.
There's nothing to be happy about. Cute things sent from Japan will NOT make me happy. I'm on my third order, now, waiting for them to send it, soon... did the various packages of my two orders, before, make me happy? NO.
Well, I'm doing better for the moment. Even though I discovered that a ghost, or something of that sort, had been messing with me, when I woke up. It doesn't scare me, though... just makes my life a bit more interesting.
Just been awake for two hours, though. I guess I will see how I'm doing, later.
