Even when you get older life doesn't necessarily make sense, but you can cope with it. Marijuana and music are great places to spend your time.
Don't worry about what people think of you; take care of yourself.

Well yeah I hope I can cope with it, but I don't feel like its a garantee........and quite frankly I'm thinking some whiskey sounds good about now.
whiskey sounds amazing right now, school has me so stressed out I have my walls covered in blood and holes.
I'm feeling about the same as you are, I can't keep up with my classes even when I try I get terrible grades. its depressing. I try to listen to my teacher but I end up spacing out lost in thought, about other things.

The difference between the responsibilities of a kid and an adult in my opinion is freedom.
As a kid, the norm for a lot of places anyway is homework, school, studying, tests, extra curricular activities and sometimes making friends.

It's like a video game... as a kid, linear and structured, as an adult, open ended and free. Sometimes too much freedom (I walked out of the tutorial in Oblivion fairly confident, turned right, and got lost for two hours...). Little abstract but not too far off.
By the way, there are plenty of things you can do without "Going to college, getting a job, etc:
Army
Peace Core
Join a Commune/Kibbutz
Travel (Even with little to no funds, say f**k it and see were life takes you)
Join a deep sea charter
Go to another country and help improve QoL there, you might be surprised how good it makes you feel
Join an archeology dig (Many provide food/lodging in return for labor)
You don't have to know what you want to do at 22... I am in college for game programming. I also want to be a Special Forces member. And help others. I may end up 10 years from now being a Ninja Hermit on top of a mountain in a country you can't pronounce...
Have you though about going travelling? Hop trains, hitching, ride a bike for a year?
I can't handle it for more than two months at a go, but I know people that do it for years on end. It's like going walkabout, you find yourself on the way to nowhere. Doing seasonal jobs like Beets harvest or cranberries / blueberries is a good way to rack up $3k or so, which you can easily live for a year off of if you're intentionally homeless.

Yeah and none of those seem like a very good idea for me to do alone...

Ah. Yeah, having a companion doesn't exactly make for a lot of time to yourself. I travelled with an experienced companion the first couple times, but it worked out well for having privacy. We'd get on different cars when we got on the trains, and when we stayed in a town we'd end up hanging out with different crowds (she would find the Crustians, I would find the screen printers / welders & seamstresses).
I can do trains or bikes by myself ok, but not hitching. I fall asleep in cars (car-narcolepsy) which is major bad news.
