Getting those weekly chores done!?

Have you any efficient strategy to get chores like cleaning, getting garbage out, paying bills, clothes wash, minor repair work etc.. done?
A person with AS which I know told me that when he starts things like vacuum cleaning his living place. He stays on the task even if other things needs attention because he wouldn't know next time he would get into the mood.
So the problem is to get started, once in that state, it just runs with great expediency. The goal being to lessen the starting resistance and be more efficient in that area. There ought to be anyone else that has tried out something that works really good.

The strategy I use is to start everything I need to do as sort of a reminder to stay on task, then fervently work on one thing on the list at a time until it's done very quickly. Also, doing a little cleaning every day is better than doing a lot of cleaning once or twice a week, to me, anyways. So I do dishes every day, wipe counters, sweep the kitchen floor, wipe down sink in bathroom, make bed, tidy up, put clothes away, etc. every day so only vacuuming, mopping, laundry and the toilets need cleaning weekly. A chore chart might help; keep track of your progress, it's a lot of motivation to see a streak of 5 days in a row you've done your daily chores, helps keep up the mood of cleaning.
