Yeah which makes it even harder because then I have to decide if I want SSI or to work, though I suppose I could go with one or the other and switch. like get on SSI and if I find a job opportunity I am really interested in or something I can always report that to the SSI and they'd either reduce my amount or cancel it....but yeah just don't know what to do about that because wouldn't that then mean trying to find work and getting on SSI would be a bad idea? but I only have 200 dollars and that wont last me another SSI rejection and trying to appeal it and all that. Also yeah that is the only way I could get healthcare because in my state you have to be over 65 or on SSI to get medicaid I guess.
As for working, I would find someone you can live with who can share both the rent, electricity etc. Someone whom you can get along with perhaps maybe even a family member if you can't find someone. Not that I'm saying there's never going to be a time if you haven't already lived on your own but with the way jobs are, it can be frustrating ie if you get laid off. They make it very tough even on the average person. But I don't want to discourage you. If you do decide to get SSI, you will have to stay away from jobs. I know that sounds crazy but the system is crazy. It would be nice if you had someone who could show you the ropes or help you in this process. I'm only speaking from the perspective of one who didn't come from a family who could help or assist me financially. With living arrangements however, my dad is the one I share my costs of living. We're on a very tight a budget and there are many things that I've had to do without but it's worked out pretty well. I would love to live on my own but with the way things are, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Hope this helps. I wish I could be of more support since I know what it's like. I went homeless just trying to do it on my own and went through so much fear and self loathing. Try to stay strong and don't let this scare you to a point of ending your life. Get as much help as you can like you did here.
Well I am officially staying at my moms house.....but I stay at my friends house a lot to, so if I found work closer to his house I'd stay there if its closer to my moms house I'd stay there. living on my own is the least of my worries right now, I mean having a place to stay other than the street or a homeless shelter is quite nice. Thing is obviously I can't help anyone with rent or anything when I don't have money.
I just want the means to survive, not sure how to survive in this country without at least a very minor income...and even then.

I guess my main concern would be I don't want something weird to happen, like ending up being forced to remain in such a place for a significant portion of my life, but maybe I'm just being paranoid. But yeah with no money I cannot do what I do to manage my symptoms, so I'd prefer to be somewhere safe because let me tell you things get pretty bad if I do nothing to alleviate the symptoms. At this point sure I am not sure just how bad as I have been regularly self medicating for quite some time so not sure how my symptoms have progressed if they have increased, or decreased.
I just don't want to have to deal with the family members talking about how mental I am behind my back......if I go that route, and well I am still quite uncomfortable with the idea myself.
I'm trying to think of some fast ways for you to get easy money. If you like animals and you live in the city you could be dog sitter/walker. I don't know if you're fond of children but you could do what I'm doing and open up a home daycare if your mom lets you. If that's not an option you could advertise to be a babysitter, even if you don't like kids....choose the age you feel most comfortable with. Another option is to put up an ad as a house cleaner, you could go around cleaning people's houses for money. There's also lawn care or gardening...mow peoples lawns and help people garden. If you like books and organizing things go to your local library and talk to them about getting a job as a page. I know these jobs aren't the greatest but they are ways to get fast money and easy to BS on a resume even if you don't have experience.
If you feel like you need to go to the hospital, do it. It's not as bad as you think. Last September I literally had a nervous breakdown, I was screaming, crying, throwing things around and banging my arms against everything. I was so depressed and out of it I didn't even know who I was anymore. My mom threatened to take me to the hospital and I didn't want to go. My mom took me to the hospital and they transferred me by ambulance to the nearest big city hospital. I was in lock down for 4 days and then I finally got transferred over the the other side, the mental health ward. I actually enjoyed my stay there, I got a lot of alone time, you get to talk to people who are going through similar things as you, the nurses and doctors are super nice and they take the time to talk to you and there are scheduled group therapy programs everyday. I was in the hospital for two weeks and my psychiatrist released me, I didn't even want to go home...but you have to face the world again sometime. From there on I was an out-patient and the hospital set me up to go to a group out-patient program that takes place in the hospital for 7 weeks. I really enjoyed that program.
It'll probably be easier for you to get on disability if you've been an in-patient in the hospital. You also get a psychiatrist right away if you're admitted into the mental health ward at the hospital.
I'm trying to think...you live in the states right? So you wouldn't be covered for anything. I still think going to the hospital is your best option if you want to get on disability or to get a therapist and have her write a note for you. You can even use your family doctor but the more people you get with notes the better. Good luck. Don't give up, there's more help out there than you think.

I would love to pet sit and pet walk, unfortunately no one seems to be looking for anyone for that and all the ads on craigs list for such jobs specify I need a car and a drivers liscense. Babysitting is certainly not an option as the last thing I need is to be responsible for other peoples children not to mention I don't like kids that much. Cleaning is good, but again....need a car for all the ads in craigslist.com and I don't know anyone looking for one to clean house. And I don't mind some outside work, but mowing lawns I'd have to pass on as I probably am not strong enough to push the lawnmower or equipped to put up with the noise. Other then that I've tried looking for seasonal and part time work on the internet only to find nothing.......don't know where else to look.

Yeah I've heard of people having good and bad experiences with that, I'd hope for a decent experience.....but yeah though I don't feel I am in any real danger of causing harm to myself right now I would just hate to see what a couple weeks of being flat broke(meaning no food unless people give me food, nothing to help decrease the pain not even a drink unless offered ect.) will do to me. So if the work thing does not work out extremely soon theres a good chance I'd have no choice but to go to the psych ward.

Yes quite true....then the only issue is do I go that route, or find work? because now after thinking about this and then finding out I could get a job with my dad I'm stressing about not being able to handle full time work(which that would be), and depending on how badly I screw up that job I might end up in the psych ward either way.....maybe I should just get it over with. but I don't know and I had a bit of a shut down earlier trying to come to some decision about what's the best direction to go from here.

No I would not be, Id just get a fat bill and it be in more debt than the college loans put me in.....and I cant afford a therapist, though I had one a while ago and he did write a letter thing about my issues for the college while I was going or whatever I might need it for. I also don't have a family doctor.

find/research information about topics I find interesting such as music, plants, drugs, animals, world war two, or any other random topic that catches my intrest
I used to love reading but now it triggers my PTSD symptoms, if I can manage to keep those under control while reading though, I still have good reading skills.

Honestly, you could be one of those night time babysitters. Plus you're in control so you can choose the age group you prefer. All you'll have to do is put them to bed then you can spend your time watching television or reading or whatever you want to do while they sleep, it's easy money. You can advertise that you don't drive and are only available in certain areas of walking distance...that's what I did before. Sometimes the parents will even drive you back if you go the babysitting route. As for the food issue, leave your mom out of the picture. Call in and say that you need food and you're out of work. They don't need to know about your mom. Get a friend who drives to take you to the food bank.
I bet you there are free or cheap counseling options where you live somewhere. I don't know if you have places like the John Howard Society where you live but they do free counselling. You could use one of those counsellors as your advocate person when it comes to getting disability.

Yeah but with my mental state I don't think I am someone that should be in charge of anyone elses children...that would not go well with my PTSD because kids tend to be rather loud not to mention me trying to enforce rules is kind of a funny thought to me. Food banks could be a possibility......but for food stamps there would be no way to leave my moms income out of that as I need a valid adress and such.

Plants...could you make seedlings and sell them, gather seeds and sell them over the internet? This would go well with walking if you have countryside around (not too far obviously if you do not have a car). The seeds are quite cheap if you are good at growing plants you could make some money out of that. Do you have a garden?
Seeds can be gathered anywhere. If you know the name of the plant, you can gather the seeds, bag them and sell them (and the harvesting comes free)
What are your special interests?
Are you in the US or the UK?
Look into the full time painting job and learn to cope with full time work or try to get hooked up with small jobs. also, there are illegal activities you may be able to do if that doesn't work out.

I don't think I would make near enough trying to sell seeds, and I don't have a garden to gather seeds from anyways, though that sounds interesting. Also I don't really know, I don't seem to really have a special interest I mean I get very interested in certain topics and really like music but that's about it. and I'm in the U.S.

That is much easier said than done......I don't think full time painting is really something I'd be very successful in when I hardly have the energy or motivation to even get through the days. I would love to just be able to jump on that and all, but I can't just deny that my psychological issues seem to be interfering with my ability to do anything.......let alone hold a full time job. Hence the reason I've been looking for part time or seasonal jobs.
Also I don't think I would make a very good drug dealer or prostitute or that I'd be very good at stealing things or armed robbery and I don't think going to prison would help my mental state any so the illegal stuff might be out.

I would have advised an Agency that specialises into getting Autistic people jobs but I only know of one in the UK.
For anyone else interested it's Pure Innovations.
Yeah I could try and find things like that....though as much as I was going on about not being able to find work in my OP, thats not really the root of this.........I mean even if I do get a job that's not going to decrease my psychological problems, and there is a good chance I'd get fired anyways for how that all interferes. Also I have tried repeatedly to just bottle everything up and get on with life.....I did that to get through elementary, middle and highschool(though I did attempt suicide at the age of 15). Then I tried to do that with college, well of course the PTSD, depression and anxiety was going to start interfering eventually....so I guess I just don't know that just getting a job and 'moving on' via bottling things up which is what I would do is the best thing for me.....but then I am not so comfortable with professional help because I am worried about being mistreated by mental health professionals or running into ones that are rather incompetent. if any of that makes sense.

Anyways I am going to try and relax rather than obsessing over all this and causing an anxiety attack like I almost had earlier. And since I have the internet I'll try and look up mental health resources in my area that could help, that way I don't have to wait till I have a mental breakdown and need to go to the mental ward of a hospital...assuming I can keep from falling over the edge I seem to be on long enough.

You would be surprised at what you can do when you start doing it. Full time work sounds exhausting, but you get used to it. It might take a while though. The funny thing about working is that you don't need much motivation to get through the day unless the work physically hurts you or is extremely stressful. It becomes rote and you just do work to pass the time. That's for low/no skill druge work like painting. You have a goal and work at it until done.
As for the illegal jobs, you are right in that you would probably be awful at them. Stealing requires luck and skill. Armed robbery and you: LOL! Prostitution doesn't require a lot of skill, but requires that you practice due dilligence and stay on the down low. I doubt your ability to do that job right except under special circumstances. Drug dealing would probably be the best bet. Sell some of your weed at a mark up instead of smoking it.
