I didn't , (for now) it does not beckon , I am back in San Jose now ,

...Again.........Sometime between the 21st and the 27th I put a post up when I was heading towards the hearing , I thought , in Santa Cruz that could end up with me in jail .
In it , I put up E-mail contact info for my consul , in case someone might want , if they wanted to , deatls on how to wite a letter to me/maybe evisit me .
I pictured myself in the jail dayroom , my moment brightened by a card/pic from somebody .
As it turned out , the hearing was gratly delayed , and I am back in San Jose now , but the possibility of being imprisond in Santa Cruz still exists , it has just beenpushed down the road somewhat/" the can kicked down the road " .
I saw that the post the consul's info went up...However , the moderators here deleted it , obviously .

at this point ,t hey still have the " throwing me out of Santa Cruz " injunction up - For being homeless , really . - But , THEY GOT ME TO AGREE TO IT BASED ON FALSE INFORMATION , briefly .
I think I may have a civil rights/" I want to be heard " issue here...! !!

...The possibility of me going to SC County Jail arises again , this time - sorta - with a civil rights-type reason added to the mix .

I was having a bad day, and feeling kind of sorry for myself, I guess, but seeing what you're dealing with, and that you keep your head up and moving forward helps me realize how many things I can take for granted.

Nope. Sorry, all I have is e-mail. I'd be happy to help, but I don't know another way to relay a message. I'm about 3,000 miles away. Anyway, you'll probably get a message faster when someone replies to one of your WrongPlanet threads or PM.

One in particular was a lascivious act with a minor/child porn accusation where the guy took a plea bargain, spent a few months in detention and got out with 5 yr probation. There was another who was accused of similar, spent a bit longer in jail because I don't think he took a plea bargain. Gotta love that, plead guilty and you get out! Maintain your innocence and you rot... Various ages, btw, some had support others didn't. I know a few homeless people too, one couple being a father and son.
Knew a guy who was in for robbery, didn't do much time. I was in a jury for this one guy who had been a minor when he assisted in a kidnapping/armed robbery. He went to the hard prison but he didn't spend near long enough in there, apparently. It's a twisted system.

...fly , if do go in (and the concept has been brought up to me by police here , me aside) , I would get arrested first , and put in the lock-up - IF it turned into 30/20 days , whatever , that would be after a trial/plea...I am really rushed now (and this is entirely hypothetical , I am not giving my " real name " here , remember) , the Santa Cruz Sheriif's page links to info about the men's jails in SC County and their mail/etc. policies...

Jail or prison time = free health and mental health care oh and dental in jail or prison while you are locked up.
If you are mental they might have seperate housing. I'm sure you don't want to be on suicide watch.
Yet if you have to drop someone, they'll might put you in cell style housing with only one other roommate instead of dorm style with tons.
You have options there and get well fed.

At least it is a free room and board and roof over your head, food to eat, and access to doctors. If you have to go, make the best of it.
If you are opting for trail your jail stay will be longer than if you take a plea deal.

...Kami - So , were any of those the recipients of " job skills " you wrote about ?
Which have/had me perhaps overly romantically picturing " nice " social worker/" post-imprisonment placement consultants " (awkward words but I'm in a hurry) there...

As I said?? , someone will hopefully tell you all , and you could E-mail?? PM?? that person for more details , including how to USPS mail me , even visit (not really do-able , but) , send certain categories of gifts...( $ for commisary account - do-able via credit card - some specific items...)

...Aside from anything else , this morning , police awaking me (slept downtown in a storefront inward part protected by rain because of the rain) said , amongst themselves , something to the effect of " Doesn't he have a stay-away order against him ??? " " I don't know , I can't find it . " !
Has anyone else here done something comparable , County Jail time for " minor " offenses ? The January 23d hearing that lead to this had the judge automatically preparing a 20-day sentence for me , it was just suspended when I agreed - inder deceptive information from them , anyhow - to the plea agreement - At present that same judge himself was refusing a request for a re-hearing of that case , tho I emphasized that I have repeatedly been downtown anyway and been ticketed repeatedly for sleeping...Perhaps this is dangerous , " sticking my arm at the leopard's mouth " tho the situation , again , exists anyway...I have a a certain " romantic " feeling of " cool street musician/busker taking time out to jam in jail and taking/smuggling some jail clothes out when released to , perhaps in the South of France/Italy , busk in , where genuine American Surf City jail clothes might seem cool " (I did actually smuggle some out the first time , but I lost them among the way . Actually , could something like 30 days misdemeanor for something such as this that , one thinks , might be seen as " sympthatehtic " , anyhow , " only in America " , keep me from traveling into the U.K. or Canada , say , let alone those countries I just mentioned ?????????
