I'm not trying to compare, I'm just asking. I'm not really sure how one is supposed to co-exist with someone like that.

there are lot of social support systems in abroad countries unlike here in india.....
why dont you approach a social worker or police.

my dad used to hit me badly, he used to cut off my hair, tear off my clothes, beat me with rods and brooms
and mom and brother used to beat me up also....everyone knew but there was no social support neither police intervention.

The police have been here plenty of times. My brother is really good at turning on the charm and convincing them that nothing is wrong. Apparently the local cops are sick of coming to our house and said that the next time they'd throw all of us in the tank if they get called. Essentially my brother has carte blance to be a douchebag now.

F'ing podunk pigs.

why dont you shoot a video from your mobile cam or something like that and put it up on youtube and show it to police
in my childhood that kind of technology was not there otherwise i would have opted for that.
and made my pain public drama on youtube.

I don't have a mobile camera, nor can I really say the idea of airing family business out over youtube makes me comfortable.

I'm not Lindsay Lohan.

In the UK we have something called the Independent Police Complaints Commission. If you're not in the UK then there is surely a similar organisation or elected official who has similar responsibilities. I would be writing to them and my MP/Congressman/Senator/whatever. Threatening to throw you in jail when you haven't done anything is police harassment. Also: tough s**t if they are sick of coming to your house. It's their job.

I would even consider calling them and getting them to wrongfully arrest me as they threatened to do to you. Then I would sue the ass off them.

edit: I don't know about yours but I also reckon that my local paper would print a story about police threatening to wrongfully arrest an abused, disabled person.

My stepdad has done all that except for the cigarettes and pepper spray he has however pointed a gun at me though.

I've said this before: While everyone outside of my parents within my family are good, my parents are complete OBSTRUCTIONISTS. I am soo annoyed by them. And we all know about my desire to file a protective order for myself on them.

We don't have anything like that in the states. There is no watchdog group that monitors police activity in that manner. Police in the U.S. are generally above the law they enforce and corruption is widespread in some places.

The standard way to deal with abusive police officers in the states is to get photographic evidence of their abusiveness and go public with it. This is assuming the cop doesn't arrest you for filming him and destroys the phone, which is A DIRECT VIOLATION OF FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. But once the phone is gone, it's your word against a cop's word and the cop always wins in court without damning evidence.

This is not to say that all cops behave this way. But the problem has become widespread enough that documentaries are being made about it.

I can't compete In current situation but horrible past I can, but that's not why I'm posting tonight. My wife kicked our oldest son 16 out yesterday won't talk about anything demanded he get all his pets out of here In under a week or shed find someone to take them. She is refusing to help the other children with homework, finding clothing etc. So now I have to get them up for school then rush to get to work on time myself. I can't handle this and trying to appear normal and everything else that I need to get done before the snow comes. Here I'm legally and financially responsible till he's 21, because I work I'll be the one to have to pay support even though I'm all ready giving food and cash to his aunt who has taken him in. I dread this not just because the stress involved at home but I will also lose time at work dealing with the courts and they have been known to make a person lose 3-4 days of work before they even get them in to decide the proper amount of support. I miss him being here. I'm trying to hold it together tomorrow is going to be a killer at work I have six sold cars to prep that are leaving tomorrow before noon, have to repair a bumper on a truck, then replace both rocker panels and cab corners on a different truck clean my area then and install a hot water heater before the end of the day. If I don't melt down or show any weakness by the end of the work day then I need to drop off scrap, clean up the yard, stack lumber, mow, clean out a car going to the crushers, work on its replacement, feed the animals and hope I can sleep because Saturday is even more busy. I just want to give up I have too much to do and not the strength in the inside to get it done. Done ranting just hope I can sleep a few hours tonight. Image

I recently got married. When I told my youngest sister that I was engaged, she offered to host a wedding reception at her home and also offered to bake the wedding cake. During the year of our engagement, I tried numerous times to plan the reception with her. She usually wouldn't answer her phone, nor would she respond to emails. Once I confronted her on FB, and she got her daughter to give me excuses. Finally my husband and I went ahead and planned a small civil service ceremony, and had a few close friends join us. Now that our marriage was posted on FB, although we received many congratulations from my husbands family and from our mutual friends, I have not heard from her. Until last week. She sent me a letter through my younger brother, which wasn't even addressed to me but said Dear Family.
Meaning that she sent the same letter out to all of my siblings. In it she whined about various problems in her life ( as if nobody else was ever having problems) and then had the audacity to ask for someone to take on my youngest brothers mortgage and storage payments since he is having family problems. He also is guilty of not returning phone calls to me. Of course there is a lot more back story here, but I don't want to make this too long a post. I have basically decided to move on with my life and ignore my dysfunctional family members. There is far too much of an energy drain trying to figure out why they act the way that they do. But it hurts deeply because we all grew up together. I have always seemed to love them far more than they have ever loved me. :(

it is illegal to kick out a 16 year old. The child is still a minor and the parents are obligated to support him, wherever he's living. Meaning SHE has to, as well.

My dad doesn't think about anyone but himself.
He abandoned me at a young age and reentered just as he had left.
Without saying anything.
He hoards things. He complains about things and tells me what to do.
I hate it. I'm a full grown man, I know what I'm doing.
He treats me like a boy because he completely missed out on my childhood.

My cousins used to be my best friends ever.
Now they completely ignore me.
The younger brother doesn't have a prospect in the world aside from smoking weed and f**king his girlfriend.
She's clearly pretty naive and only dates him for his stuff, or there's something I'm not seeing.
The older brother acts like I'm evil because of things I've done in the past.
He also is psychologically addicted to weed.
Except with him, he uses it as a mood regulator.
Whenever he doesn't have it he lashes out violently.
He clearly has deep seated anger issues.
When this happens I am the mediator between him and his brother's arguments.
They began playing magic cards. It's fine.
The thing is I will be in the midst of a deep conversation and they will just drop it and start a magic game.
Which of course means I have to sit there and listen to them revel in the wizards and dragons for hours.
They don't seem to understand that I'm poverty stricken and cannot afford to waste my money on cards.
I opt to put my time, income, and effort into metaphysically engaging activities.
I write stories, make music, draw, and talk to people online. I spend a lot of time exercising.
These are gratifying and cheap hobbies for me to do.
Monetary trouble is not a concept to them. They are money pits, meanwhile live like a monk.
I live on $5-10 a day.
$5 to them is chump change. They wouldn't even know what to do with it.
I'd be able to buy 2 black and mild cigars, a lighter, little debbie, and a tea with that money.
Or a bottle of liquor. Or just save it....
They have absolutely no appreciation for what their parents have worked to give them.
They have piles, and piles, and piles of these god-forsaken cards.
I've no problem with the game of Magic.
It exercises math ability, business savvy, and helps you make new friends via tournaments.
I just feel like I've been left in the dust.
Luckily I know, even though I don't have friends anymore, I'm using my time wisely.
I've taught myself skills and lessons that will last me a lifetime.
Meanwhile they will be left with their cards, and stupid ideas on what real life is.
The older one is 23 the younger is 20.
They still live at home and the older one got his job handed to him.
He makes more than my dad does in a year, in a few months.
I'm age 19 and living on my own.
I get $100 a month from my mom, and that is the extent of the help I get.
She buys me groceries sometimes, too... Still. :x
I struggle to make a living. They had everything placed right in their palm.
And they choose to smoke it all away or buy those cards. :x
I'm gonna find new friends, because they clearly moved on a long time ago.
It took me at least a month after they started ignoring me to give up hope.
I'm gonna find a girlfriend whose as hot as stove top, and cool as a 'fridgerator. :P
And I'll find friends who can match my wit, and have similar interests.
Then they'll be the ones whose writing something like this.

My parents and brothers think I'm very strange as they keep telling me to be normal and I really want to tell them about Asperger's but I'm worried what they'll say. Any advice. (this wasn't really a rant but it seemed to fit in here)

It's up to you. I would probably look at their atttiude to other mental health and those who have been diagnosed with other things before you make that decision.
