Son's tip of finger cut off by fridge

So how's he doing? Are they going to reattach is finger?

It was hanging by skin and a little meat. It's stitched back together and he's having surgery Tuesday. It's cut through the bone. They said they need to wait that long because of the swelling.

OMG, OliveOilMom. Hope he's OK and adjusting.....so sorry.

He's doing good, thanks. We went back to the doctor today and he gets the wire out in three weeks. He's healing great!

I'll post a pic of his xray, I'm not sure how others would feel about seeing the actual blood finger, although if ya'll want it, and the mods say it's ok, I have several that I'll post. He put them all over his FB page before we even left the hospital.

You can see that he cut the bone in half, and he cut through the meat all the way across his nail and it stopped on the opposite cuticle.

Ouch. Hope the doctors can help so he has a speedy recovery. Um, I'm sure not an authority, but I bet we could see photos - it's medical. (I'm sure the Wrong Planet has seen far worse, plus we're all adults, sort-of).

The finger. It doesn't look as bad as it is here, you can't tell that it's barely attached. I think thats bone that you see inside there where it's flayed open.

This next one is the cut across his hand. it was pretty deep too. He got those stitches out yesterday.
