I'd love to see a movie with some of the stuff happening that OliveOilMom shares in her posts. That would be a great title for the movie starring her and about life in her town.

Hey, OOM, this is National Novel Writing Month. You should give it a go. Just collect up all your posts and put 'em together and you're all set. You do have a way with words.

Just make the Grocery manager the mayor of the town. (Always leaving a glass of sweet tea with vodka in it lying about.)

I'm actually going to be sending in a package to Spongy, a DVD that a local guy made about another local guy who wants to be a rapper. It's got lots of the people I talk about in it and lots of footage of the town. Maybe he can upload it here in members only or something.

The boy it's about is the guy who ran around the block naked with my husband to celebrate a football game. The guy who made it is also the writer for our local paper. The only writer. He's some how cousins with my daughters fiance, and he's the older brother of the girl whose hair I did for her wedding who was my oldest son's first gf and she married the guy who got in trouble for throwing sandwiches at other kids from the upstairs window of his house. The writer is also the guy who sets up and puts on the "Haunted Trail" here in town thats open for two weeks in October.

This mayor we had once was also the Baptist preacher and owned a heating and air and handyman business. Neither mayor nor preacher is full time or pays much of anything. He's now our probate judge and he still has the handyman business. He's not even a lawyer. He takes his two big hunting dogs with him everywhere he goes. When he came to fix my mothers air conditioner he just brought them right into her house without asking and scared the crap out of her little dog, so she locked him in the bedroom.

If I had a video camera and knew how to use it and upload, I'd make videos for here about the town. Going around and showing things and getting people to talk to the camera.

You should come and visit. I'm only a little less than an hour away, depending on how you go and how fast you drive. I'm about 30 minutes past Montevallo. Then you could tell them that yes, this is real and I'm not making this stuff up. It's way to wierd for even my warped little brain lol.

It is wierd. It's very colorful if you know where to look and know the background on people, which of course we all do. I'll make a video one day.
