We have definitions, political stereotypes, and examples of idiocy, all in which are insightful and amusing. However, the big picture is right in front of us:
Even if the definition states it's own description, the real fact is, in everyone's own way, every single one of us is an idiot.
You might think 'oh that's a load of crap,' and you might be right or not know better, but everyone, including myself, is their own brand of idiot. Granted, each of us have our own strengths in our intelligence, but what we have strengths in is counterbalanced by certain weaknesses. It's not our faults though; there is no such thing as perfection. We evolved to be advanced, but yet lack the intellect to figure out what the hell to do in some situations. Some may come off as intelligent, but completely buckles under certain pressure like, for example, being a genius in biochemical engineering and is a wonderful public speaker, but is a terrible pick-up artist and can't talk to the opposite sex without literally pissing his/herself.
That's just one example, I'm sure all of you can think of other examples.
Case in point: calling people idiots is calling the kettle black. I mean no offense to the OP or anyone here, but there may be people out there who you believe are idiots, but put into consideration that everyone is, including yourselves.
