This is the method I used, and I didn't even have to think about it! Landed with a great girl, too.

Why didn't I get any candy on Valentine's Day!? Is this some sort of conspiracy?!

In Elementary everyone had to bring in candy for his/her classmates.

I hate it because the local media seem to treat it as "Let's Make Fun of All The Single People Day". A few years ago the local newspaper had, on Valentine's Day, a feature article about men who were over 30 and not yet married... the basic thrust of the article was "What's Wrong With These People", as if being over 30 and unmarried was some kind of disease.

I don't hate Valentine's Day, I celebrate Singles Awareness Day with single friends of mine and a fair amount of hard liquor.

Eh, it can be. Either we drink ourselves stupid and have a good time, or we drink ourselves stupid and b***h and moan about being single and how much that sucks, and how our situations suck, etc, etc, etc.

Valentines day is great. Even though the last valentines day worked out the way I hoped but it crashed the following days. I proposed to a girl that day and then she rejected me the next month.
