I'm spending it alone.I'm fine with that since I usually cook the dinner.I'm relieved that I don't have to do anything but be lazy.I"m going to sip hot tea and watch the tv.
I do feel sorry for people who are alone that would love companionship.

Christmas Day s nearly over thank goodness. I was alone too. If I had any sleeping tablets I would have made myself sleep through it. It was so horrible.

I recommend you don't look on Facebook - the sight of other people's happy photographs and cheery status updates makes the loneliness much worse.
Don't watch television, every program seems to be about some bloody happy family.

Read a good book that is long enough to keep you busy all day. Perhaps tomorrow will be better.

Christmas alone is my norm, the worst part was my son phoning from the family party to see how I was, something he does every year.

At least here we are together :)

Be gentle on yourselves

Are you all right, AspieOtaku? I'm spending a solitary Christmas as well, but that's by choice.

If you want to talk about the reasons and causes behind why you're spending Christmas alone this year, feel free to express them, if you're comfortable.
Yeah I just have to work on Christmas night and my family lives 200 miles away from where i live its like a 3 hour drive one way so i called them and let them know i wont make it this year my work place is shirt handed and i have to train some newbies. I can always celebrate it late and alone by doing the KFC thing and seeing a movie im thinking the Hobbit or the Ronin movie!

Well, Merry Christmas anyway, despite the circumstances. I've been trying to call my aunt long-distance and the phone lines have been tied up all day & yesterday. I'm in my little flat just now, sorting through papers for the big move. Oh, and watching a Muppets Christmas on tv 8)
