We have an indoor outdoor cat and she doesn't run away. None of ours have and we only have one at a time, so it's not that you only had one. Why would people want to steal her? Is she an expensive breed?

Cats are notorious for being gone for days and then just showing back up. Ours have done it countless times. She may have been picked up by somebody and taken home with them and not able to get out, she could have been hit by a car (sad, but it's possible), but I think the most likely thing is she's ran into a pack of cats and is with them right now. If she's in heat then she may be out hooking up with other cats and will come home when she's not in heat anymore.

I'd give her a few more days before I got too worried. I know thats hard to do but there is a good chance she will come back home. Does she have a collar on so people know she's not a stray?

So she is back. Great. :)

Watch her today and if her strange behavior won't stop in a few hours/tomorrow take her to a vet. She was probably just hungry and scared of what happened (she was meowing to "tell" you everything what happened to her when she was gone :D.) but it is worth to check if she is OK.

I'm so glad she is back!! I had a dog that was most likely stolen, the worst thing was the worry about where they could be,are they hurt,is someone mistreating them.It was awful.
When my daughter returned from vacation her cat mewed a lot and was clingy, the cat was so glad to have her owner back.
