Hi my name also happens to be Ross and I'm 51. From South Africa. I am glad you have a little dog to be your true friend. I hope you manage to get to Oregon as I think you would be happier there, and can move on and put some of these nasty experiences behind you.

I wish you all the best. The tough times you've had with your health and with these unpleasant people is no way your fault and is beyond your control. You do not have to drink in order to impress anyone in any case. We don't need the approval of others in order to do what we choose to do.

Better times will roll round again, of that I'm sure.

Hello, WeAteSand. Just popping in to say hi. I live in sunny Seattle. I'm very high functoning so a lot of people, including professionals, don't believe I'm on the spectrum. I drink but lately I've been in rehab so I've quit. Like you, i also used to play guitar in bands. Even released albums and everything. I've since walked away from it, though. Who knows? Maybe some day I'll strap one on again.

Like you, I also like movies. These days my focus is solely on foreign films. So far I've seen some pretty good ones from Morocco, Palestine and Israel. They're pretty realistic so that's why I like them. Hopefully you do get to Oregon. I hear it's nice there - if you stay away from the meth areas.
