I find it better if you don't set yourself in either extreme, because it closes you off to alternate possibilities. Pessimists always put a negative spin on everything and things sort of become self-fulfilling prophecies. On the other hand, optimists are eternally naive and ignorant to the reality of any given situation. Just be open.

Spend more time thiinking what you do already have and what you can do rather than what you don't have and what you can't do. Also cut people more slack and give them the benefit of the doubt, especially your parents, they are probably trying to protect their 15 year old daughter.

I think I'm going to say this with a very British flare!

Why don't you "go on a summer holiday?" I'm sure that will make you feel better!

Cliff Richard sang that song, didn't he?

I hope things improve with you soon!

I find the only way I can make it through some days is to imagine the future I want. Every time I'm down, or depressed I imagine my ideal world and my place in it.

In my world, I own my own home. I have a plain wife, who has lots of her own interests. I have a dog, and one of those tennis ball shooters to "throw" the ball for me (I can't throw far). I spend most of my time writing books, and just relaxing doing nothing at all.

You've got to make yourself happy. You've got to stand your ground. If you want a job, get one. You're 15. Don't let your parents tie you down, as though you're defective, because you're not. :)

RedMage,

Why quit? You were just getting good at it!

The unexplored life in not worth living. So you are identifying what you do not like. It is a small and controlable thing. Deal with it or live with it. You are doing right.

You do like some things, art, animation, games, and you only complain about one thing, people. You are right about them. You will change and grow, they will not.

You have changed while I have been watching, for the better, the world has not gotten any worse.

We do define what we like by what we do not like. There is more of it, and they deliver.

The same effort, focus, detirmination, refined in this is not acceptable, will be turned to this is.

You are like a little kid that has been crawling around, who stands, falls, and gets angry about it. They try and try, never quiting, focused and detirmined, and they do learn to walk. The anger is forgotten, and walking leads to running, dancing, and life is better.

You are great and getting better.

Behold the Power of RedMage!

But how can I get a job if I'm not allowed to?
