I thought Eugene was a relatively artsy place.

Eugene is just a miniature Portland/Seattle, though less liberal.

kraftiekortie is nice trying to be positive all the time but I roll my eyes seeing those posts every time, sorry

but yeah sly, **** sucks. Just an awful time to be alive. Hopefully things get better, all you really can do.

Repairing self-esteem seems impossible unless you have a reason to warrant self-esteem, I'm not stupid or delusional so unless my life gets tangibly gets better then I'm going to feel like ****. I dunno man, good luck.

Now wait a minute LOL.....Do my posts really make your eyes roll?

All I'm saying is that there is an alternative to what Sly's experiencing.

Because I experienced what Sly experienced, to some extent.

Somehow, I was able to transcend that.

I'm sorry you're lonely Sly :( .
Do you have any pets? My cat makes me feel less lonely.

Cats don't like being touched. Cries and cries then runs off.

It just depends on the individual cat (or any other animal, for that matter). Some are very skittish. My cat likes to be held a lot (though he doesn't like to just simply sit on my lap). Maybe you would like a different animal, like a dog?

Ugh, dogs are so much work. The family poodle wants constant attention, while our cats are quite happy doing their own thing most of the time.

Yeah, I myself wouldn't be up for a dog (the work they require, plus the barking, the slobber, etc) but Sly may not mind those things. :)

Nope dogs are too Gerrmy, they can't not lick you. We have 2 adult Yorkies and 3 puppies currently. They poop and pie all over and their hair feels horrible with my touch sensitivity.

It's why I wanted a fox, their more like cats.

I understand. Dogs don't go well with my sensory needs either (though I love animals, some are better from a distance). I've met a few golden retrievers that have soft fur but I cannot stand the feeling when I pet a dog and their fur is a bit dirty. Do your yorkies bark a lot and/or at high frequencies? It seems like most little dogs I've been around have been like that.

Would you feel less lonely if you did volunteer work somewhere? You may even meet a potential girlfriend this way.

My families always had animals. Dogs can be cute. German Shepards were my dream dog but now I know it's never work out, I can't stand being licked. Also gf can't have dog either, no way I'm kissing a girl after dog just licked all over her face. Eww

They can and their puppies whines are the worst. Have to plug my ears while their in the car doing it. My grandmas is super high pitched when we first get to her house. It's horrible.

Doubtful and I can't afford to do volunteer work. Really only thing that'd help would be having a gf to cuddle.

People said working would help find s gf but been here 4 months and nothing, though it's a higher class store and people probably just see us as servants cause we paid min wage.

There are some cats who LOVED to be touched----but he/she has to trust you first.

Some even liked being rubbed on the belly!

I had a cat, Floyd, who was so much like a dog that meowed when barks were called for.

Do a lot of people let dogs lick their face? The idea of that has always grossed me out.

Do you work with any girls? Or could you befriend any of your male co-workers, who could then introduce you to some girls?

Many dog owners allow their dogs to lick their face. It's the dog's way of bonding.

I used to let my cats lick me--even thought they have sandpaper tongues. That's how cats bond with humans.

I agree it is probably the best approach for Sly to be introduced to somebody.

I let my cat lick me, but he doesn't usually do it and it's not slobbery.

Most dog owners do, some even share their food with like ice cream and the keep eating it. Few even allow their dogs to take food from their mouths >.<

All the people at my work are married or dating. Mind you it's mostly older people or younger people working while they go to college.

I should have tried dating more while in college sure I'd stilled failed but by time that happen girl would been stuck with me.

That would require them to like me and know about me. These are right wingers, welfare is stealing liberals should be killed types, I'm on welfare.
