NT comment about autism
Two things occurred to me about this person - perhaps he likes upsetting people generally, after all he didn't have to say these things even if he believes them and perhaps he (saying 'he' is much easier than 'this person') can use his argument that Aspies get greater help or whatever to cover up for his own shortcomings. I'd be very interested in whether you do better in your exams than he does.
It is difficult to see how he can have such a s%*@ attitude when he's actually studying autism. Perhaps he's just thick.
I have known plenty of people who are ignorant about autism. The worst offenders are teachers with master's degrees in special education. They think having that degree makes them experts on autism. These teachers really don't know anything about autism. They made assumptions about my sister and I that were completely wrong and they aren't known for being good with autistic students. I find master's degrees to be meaningless because of this.
