I think I might fall in this category
Most of the time I feel so hopeless and feeling so sorry for myself that it seems like I enjoy it, but I do not, it's kind of confusing.
I was thinking at one time in terms like this. There is a music form called "the blues", they sing of hard times. Yet when you listen to it, it feels good, it sounds good, you hear thier emotion, the good ones anyway. I like the blues, but I don't like to live the blues, but I bet I could put the emotion into a good blues tune. Maybe even the words. The people that do the blues (music) keep it simple, I mean really simple. Listen to a good blues drummer, all very simple beats with the accents in just the right places. The good ones all do it this way. They play the blues, they don't live the blues, but they did at one time or they couldn't get it right in the music if they hadn't. They remember the blues and they can play it to advantage. The blues has a common form, a beat, but everyone of the greats has their own style.
