I hate summer because it gets to #$%&@! hot outside. I can be comfortable up to 25°C (77°F). I can tolerate up to 30°C (86°F). Last summer, one afternoon it got to 35°C (95°F), for the first time since 1961. I was miserable. I gave serious thought to buying an air conditioner, but then realized that it would be silly to spend $500 on something that I'd use just a few days each year. In fact, last summer was the first summer in four years that it got warmer than 30°C.
(Edmonton is as far north as I can get in Canada and still have a big city around me. If I was to win the lottery, I'd give serious thought to moving to the Yukon.)
