No, I leave the radio on all night and it was a psychic being interviewed on "Coast to Coast."
If you will excuse my presumption, I would like to suggest that you listen to a different radio station.

Clara, your cat would give better spiritual advice than that quack. Listen to your cat.

Nothing that has happened to you in your life is preordained "punishment" from a higher being, or yourself.

Give them my number if they chirp that bullcrap again.

Clara, rest assured that what you heard was nonsense. I'm sorry you ended up listening to that. Like Fnord said, change the station.

The problem of having a radio or tv on when you sleep! Bizarre messages get even more bizarre. I’m glad things got better.

I swear cats have built in alarm clocks and know when it is time to get up and especially when to eat.

This.

Also this.
"Psychics" are masters in manipulating others into strangest beliefs - but it's just their manipulation. You are sensitive so their tricks may be much more harmful to you than to others.

I'm having difficulty finding out what field Dr. Lauren Cielo's doctorate degree is in and where it was obtained.

That's what I thought. If you get an internet radio there are tens of thousands of stations to choose from.

Hope you are feeling better Claradoon, get back to us when you feel able. The message that man was spreading is quite offensive, making victims responsible for their own suffering, no one chooses or deserved to suffer through illness, it's purely bad luck.

I'm guessing the follow-up is to pay the good Dr. gobs of money to learn how to fix the problem.

I bet.

I would be triggered too. Whatever it was that upset Claradoon, panic over, come back soon.

Thank you but that only describes about half of me. The other half is wobbly.
My dear KK, have I not been called "Mad" all my life?

The nice, smart, intelligent, funny half of you is there to protect the wobbly half

Oh great. Tonight the radio narrated Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart. Fortunately, I was awake enough to turn it off.

Think of it this way:

You might be wobbly.....but you never completely fall down.

Your wobbliness enables you to get right back up after you fall down partially.

I feel I owe you an explanation, and maybe I have part of one now.

The psychic on the radio activated my own PTSD.

I felt safe and loved (more later); PTSD attacked (think Darth Vader?); then I e-mailed you.

Longer version: PTSD supremely forbids safety and love and will threaten in all ways, including death and even eternal death; you are nothing; there is no God; you have nowhere to turn; your purpose in life is to be crushed.

Re safe and loved: I got a copy of Our Father: Reflections on the Lord's Prayer by Pope Francis. It brought me some reconciliation with God as "Father". I fell asleep saying the Our Father and woke to the psychic on the radio.

I owe you this: I didn't have to deal with that alone. You supported me. Now I have some reality back and I will reclaim my right to pray if I want to.

Thank you, all of you.
