Your teeth are important and I'm glad you were able to take care of them. That's a big thing to go through, but you made it.

I've had teeth pulled.

I can't fully chew my food. And teeth do "move around."

I have about 20 of my teeth, fortunately.

I have 20. :)
I lost all my upper back ones due to stomach acid. When I was in my early 20's a dentist told me to tell my doctor I had stomach acid issues. I saw the doctor and he didn't even look. He said that dentists don't know what they are talking about, and that was that. Gradually I lost those teeth.
My last dentist asked me if I was grinding my teeth. My upper front teeth are all worn away on the inside. I found out that after I was working where I used to work, I was re-living every moment in my sleep, and I was grinding my teeth every night while I was asleep. I found this out when I woke up, as I often found myself waking up after hearing this noise. It was me grinding my teeth while asleep!

Why are my feeling like this. I have not started the second form yet. I keep doing other things to distract myself from filling out the form! Grrr!
I will do it eventually! Why am I so worked up? It is only a form. Uhmmm.

^ Happens over here also. Last week I had HUGE anxiety putting together a customer presentation. When I finally got myself to it (near the last day), I spent hours going over materials to collect just the right slides. It occurred to me that my "carefree" co-workers would whip up a short presentation in just a few minutes, which annoyed me more. But that's not my style and the best I can do is find a middle ground. So, I spent my hours and of course the presentation was fine and I was overprepared, and there you go. Just like most things in my life. My ASD assessment went like that... I spent way "too much" time preparing, but by golly, that's my way. There are benefits… I have to believe that. So, as I have mentioned I have my daughter's intake forms to fill out - I saw one question I didn't readily know how to answer, so have put off the whole thing.

Perhaps to reduce the overwhelm. Plan a run through to answer all the "easy" items only. Don't give any mind to the unclear or "hard" ones that run. Then go back to those, a few at a time. Or else just "schedule" half a page at a time. Don't expect to do to so much. That whole break it done into small chucks for us EF challenged folks. To reduce the sense of anxiety (dread, overwhelm) and have it be joyful and fun. I actually like forms, just not when I get "stuck".

I am just doing it a bit at a time. :) They are simple enough. Is just I am needing to keep distracting myself or I will just end up sitting there and do nothing. I just sit there and go into a trance or a daydream and not one bit will be filled....

Writing the reply after I read your post had me thinking about how I get difficulties with forms. The difficulties are ones which no one else can really fill the things out for me, as I have to find the information they need etc... I wrote a new thread about the invisible walls...

Thanks Sharon B. You are a jem. :)

I find my mind works better late at night where I come alive! I looked at the form last night and I found it to be do-able. I have done a few pages. :) So I don't see a problem. I am not going to explain too many details. I usually go overboard with details but I have a plan of action. Last night I worked it out that if I just answer the basics I can get the form done in no time! :)
It is something that I am claiming which I very much doubt I will get so my heart is not in it. Someone said one has to fight ones case to get it anyway, and I'm not in a fighting mood. It is going through the motions... Hence why I am doubtful I will get it... And besides, is only since I hit burnout the last few years that I think I may qualify. Once I recover I will be back to normal and I doubt I would be eligable, and as I am aiming to recover, I feel that if I come too detailed in the forms, it is like I am condemning myself so I may not recover? Is a mental thing where I must tell myself I am recovering so I will recover. :)
So I will be able to pull myself out of the fragile stage and so I wont have so many shutdowns. I can "Grrr!" and be an overcomer again!

Just try and discipline yourself to do one page a day. Don't think about it too much (not wanting to do it), thinking about something is the first step for me in not getting it done. Small steps are still steps... If you get anxious take a break and come back to it.

Thank you both. One of the reasons is why I am healf hearted in this second booklet of forms is that because I am not assessed yet, I have no proof so it is very likely that I will be rejected, so the incentive to fill out the forms is not really there. After I am assessed, I can put in for this again. The benefits lady said I may as well try, so I am :) .

Getting anything seems like that... organization and folks demand a high level of effort ---- if you REALLY want it, prove it. Yuck. One step at a time. Step 1... done, Step 2... progressing … one step at a time. Step 5 denied. Step 6 reapply... you'll get there! all in good time.

I get times when I get no issues. Other times when I just struggle soo much, that if the forms had to be in straight away I couldn't do them.
It all depends how I am at the time.

It's beautiful when I am well rested, well fed, warm - there is no to little stress... I could get anything done then! (so I tell myself) --- but when are those times? Here and there. I get a sense of euphoria in a moment like that. So nice. And then a traffic light isn't working or the garbage truck is approaching, or a child is yelling, or the oatmeal runs out. Back to it.
