Do you like painting?

I actually do. It never entered my mind. I even have paints and canvas! Thanks magz. That might be cathartic.

:) Thank my neurologist ;)
I don't like painting so I'm whittling a figurine of a cat in some very hard wood. Task for a patient patient ;)

I think our current culture gravely underestimates the importance of making art by regular people (not professional artists).

Seconded! Nothing like the satisfaction of making beauty manifest in the world with just your hands, mind and a few simple tools :D

Hugs Teach. Staying connected, using the phone to talk to friends/family(those who can handle phones) when needed, and doing all you can to maintain your own mental health, when in isolation, is important. Some very social people are expressing how concerned they are about being alone but having to isolate, and it genuinely is a concern. Neighbours are placing forms through the doors of those who are elderly or anyone in quarantine over here, and we’re ensuring people don’t feel totally alone(by ensuring they have medication, supplies etc when they need). The oldest Italian restaurant in London has an ample supply of food and toiletries, and is ensuring people have what they need within their vicinity for free, making deliveries and encouraging others simply to care about their fellow neighbours. The homeless should be allowed use of motels etc that are lying empty now, and it’s heartwarming to see the positive side of humans at times like this. Love that you’re finding enjoyment in crafts. Crafts, sewing, hobbies of any kind are a known beneficial antidote to stress, illness and loneliness. We’re all in this together. Sending you hugs and a virtual basket of TLC :) :flower:

Hate this. I hate this. Quarantine is driving me mad despite talking on the phone all day

Could you got out for a walk where you are?

I just found out----not really---unless it's for going for essential things, like food and medicine.

We've been told not to but I will get up early and go for a walk before people get up. People walk dogs. The hospitals are on the verge of crashing and everyone is in a panic. No shut down in New York?

Oh, hugs to you, Teach!
I'm getting crazy from lack of alone time with all my family staying at home. If only we could switch places for a few moments ;)

No shutdown yet in NYC. There might be one in two days.

You can walk your dog legally in Israel. Or if you have kids, you could go to the park.

Hang in there, teach. Your Kabbalah group sounds interesting.

Take deep breaths.

Try to rid your head of the "I can't stand anymore of this." Those thoughts feed the craziness. Try a more positive thought and repeat it...even if you don't feel/believe it. Especially if you don't feel/believe it. (((Teach)))

I'm really sorry, I don't think I can suggest much that would help you, we're very different people and I'm afraid I'm not the most emotionally expressive person. But I wanted you to know that you are loved and appreciated here and we're here for you if you need us

Parks beaches forbidden. Not allowed out except for medical emergencies

I believe humanity will improve, God is saying " I am taking all your toys ( metaphor) world, go to your rooms and stay there till you learn to stop fighting and exploiting each other, then I'll let you out." We will see, people will learn to be less egoistic and God will force humanity to stop thinking only of themselves.

I know, I feel the same, I feel privileged to be part of this community. We will get through this together. Wanted to scream with frustration yesterday. I woke up in a more accepting mood. I am worried of course about my loved ones. My friends are over 60, 70 and are most at risk.

Is Kabbalah as esoteric and hermetic as it is often portrayed?
