It’s a gap between one event and another.

There is a one-year hiatus between something which happened on 1 January, 2020, and something that will happen on 1 January, 2021.

She seems to be making fun of threads mourning the loss of Magna, and of Isabella Linton, etc.

Thats not the issue. It was obvioius that you were attempting a joke. But it was not obvious what the joke was.

I misread this thread title as "Miss Fnord" at first glance and thought it's a thread to discuss what sort of daughter Fnord would have...beautiful but scaly, judging by his avatar.
