I had to leave Michigan to find work, too.  I've been with my current job for over 20 years!

Uncle's manipulation step two has started... Posting about me on his Facebook feed... Next step is invariably my relatives that support him attacking me on Facebook or via messenger... This has happened many times before... It's an established pattern and also it's sent me to the mental hospital before so I'm going to probably have to start blocking people...

You need to get these toxic people out of your life. Public Facebook attacks are not okay. People messaging you to join in on somebody else's grievance is not okay. You don't have to put up with it. Blocking is great. Break the script! It sounds like your uncle is used to getting what he wants from you. Keep standing up to him. You can do this.

Completely block his phone number, his e-mail address, all of his social media account, EVERYTHING connected with him. I’d even go as far as to obtain a restraining order against him.

I'm so weak...... I talked to them and said I'm sorry and told them I'm not going out of state after my social worker was defending them, saying that "I can't run away from my problems" and saying that a person with a criminal record isn't necessary bad.... But then a friend of mine I talked to on messenger said the opposite and if I get the opportunity I need to leave...

Why do I let myself get pulled in different directions by people??? It's a horrible issue...

Did you tell the social worker that this registered sex offender has made sexually harassing comments to you? That is an ongoing, current problem and warning sign, not just a criminal record in his past. Why is it your job to drive him anywhere? That makes no sense.

My uncle doesn't want to put car insurance on his vehicle and says I have to take the guy places because my vehicle is legal... I end up taking him places several times a week because he has physical therapy... And my uncle gets angry if I don't do it...

I've mentioned the comments to the social worker and she's concerned and told me to tell him to stop saying things like that... He did for like a day then got even grosser...

Why are you beholden to do favors for your uncle at all? Is he supporting you financially or something?

No, I get disability and completely support myself... My uncle insists "I have to help out family". Also, he's verbally abusive if I don't do what he says...

Like a few years ago, me and my husband tried to live with him... Not only did that trailer have bedbugs, fleas and an untrained dog that just went where she felt like, but he got ahold of our social security numbers, put the utilities in our names, then didn't pay them... I found the shut off notices with our names on them... He said if I gave him more money, he would pay them... Next month, I found more shut off notices, and asked why he didn't pay them, he literally said "once you give me money, I do whatever I want with it" me and my husband were so angry we left town... then he told my relatives we destroyed his trailer... I got banned from the trailer park because the manager is his sister who believes him and I had to pay hundreds of dollars on the bills...

That is just one incident... I will never forget...

Please, please, please get these terrible people out of your life. You know that it's wrong. You owe nothing to "family" that treats you like this. Block them. Get rid of them. The restraining order might be a good idea, if it's legally possible. You are worth more than this. That beautiful, confident you in your profile pic you were so happy about? Do it for her. Cut off all contact. That's really what needs to happen here. I see no way to keep your uncle in your life at all; he will just manipulate with every chance he gets. He's learned how to get what he wants out of you. He's using you. You are kind-hearted and want to do well by others, but this is hurting yourself and doing your uncle no good by enabling him. You deserve friends who will appreciate your kindness, not prey upon it.

Angnix, you really need someone on your side who will help you distance yourself from your uncle and the sex offender who I don't trust with you at all. Is there a trustworthy male relative ( not your uncle) who can intervene on your behalf?
