yes, that is the best way it could have happened. sociopaths, by now you have found, generally do what they will in front of god and everybody and don't fear the consequences, they are balls-to-the-wall come hell or high water. that is what makes them so dangerous. but it also is what exposes them quickly to anybody paying attention.

As lousy as that experience was, I think it went quite well in your favor. It's obvious your neighbor is not liked by your manager and the police. You have the high ground so to speak. And she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Since the police invited you to call them any time, you don't have to second guess doing that. On her part all she has to do is get a pair of headphones so she can listen to her music as loud as she wants without bothering you or anyone else. It's a shame there are people who have no consideration for others.

Absolutely!
It does seem that if her primary antagonism towards other people is playing the music loudly, earphones are a solution!
It does sound, though, that she is an unhappy or angry person, who may be trying to pick a fight.

The observed history of her time residing here supports that.

We are sorry you are going through this; you seem to have enough to deal with.
You should not have the burden of someone else’s emotional problems.

Easily one of the most correct things ever said in the history of saying correct things.

Wow, that's scary. You did the right thing. If I was in that situation, I would have fainted. You're a very strong person.

Om Nom hugs

Thanks Mick.
A little bit ago I heard her outside talking to a neighbor, God only knows what she's telling them, she did lie to the Police to their faces telling them I lunged at her and spit on her there in the apartment office Monday, with a witness, the manager, who told the Police that claim was untrue.

Oh, y'all here are turning out to pretty much be the place to talk to someone about the thing: called my Psychologist's office and got voice mail, still haven't heard back; called Social Worker's office and they are out of the office for the holiday week.

Are a couple people in our little local creative writers group that I'm comfortable talking about personal things with, so I have them too.

But the paid professionals, nope, not there. I understand they are humans too and have their need to live actual lives and unwind from work; even so it is distressing that here's a time for them to be useful and nope, they are not there.

Edit: just decided that I will tell about it,
Last night I had a dream that she grabbed me from behind in the breezeway.
And then that she blocked the steps so I couldn't go up to my apartment.
Having been grabbed from behind for a couple different reasons is one component of why I have cPTSD.

Oh well, such is life.

Those kind of dreams are sometimes the sum of our fears or darker thoughts and aren't real. I often have weird dreams about people - they are simply the subconscious. I even still dream about people I last saw several years ago.

Wow - Thanksgiving in the States seems to be an even bigger thing than Christmas!

Hey there. I'm drained, just drained.
And frustrated.

With my health the mess it is I can't drive 100 miles away to see my 80 year old parents for Thanksgiving.

And they can't drive at all any more which is why they gave me their van back in August to replace my literally quarter century old van.
Which, I guess in a bit of, umm, irony?, I sold in August to the neighbor who threatened me Monday.

I might see if my body is good for sticking some parts on a model spaceship, and Grumman and Georgie (who is here on the desk with me right now) are getting a can of tuna for Thanksgiving and that's about all that's going to mark the day here.

I hope you will be able to get somewhere with the antisocial behaviour of your neighbour.

At least in the US you appear to have some help from the police.

In the UK, the police rarely do anything about domestic noise pollution and usually refer individuals
who are complaining about their neighbours noise pollution to the environmental health department,
who can do tests with regards to the level of noise pollution involved so as to ascertain as to whether
anyone is in breach of the law.

The extra problem that also can be present when it comes to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder,
is that many of us experience sensory impairment which can make us hypersensitive to auditory sensory information.

In addition, people with ASD often usually are unable to filter out sensory information, so when placed in an environment that has more than one source of sensory information, we can suffer from sensory overload, which can cause all sorts of major behaviour problems in the sufferer which is caused by the neurological dysfunction that is present in ASD.

This observation regarding to ASD sensory impairment is significant, as it is arguable that if you suffer from the disability called ASD, and that your neighbour knows that you suffer from this condition then her actions is in fact disability discrimination too! and you may have grounds in a court of law.

Well, this at least is how human rights laws work in principle, however, in reality, many places including countries that proudly promote themselves as having brilliant human right laws for people with a disability, but getting someone to do anything when these "laws" have been breached is far harder than it should be, often leaving us people with a disability with little or no protection.

Antisocial behavior is well documented - last year, under a different apartment manager, Lisa ended up in trouble with the police for assaulting a neighbor in the adjacent building, who turned out to be just as nuts as Lisa; and, I'm told that Lisa also pretty much kidnapped another neighbor's dog for a day or two.
My impression while talking to the Police Monday, primarily from their rolling eyes, is that they have had their fill of dealing with Lisa, just like we who live here.

And she has a history of doing things which violate the lease while yelling at other people that she's going to report them for violating the lease.

Last year, again under a different manager from who we now have,
She drilled a hole halfway up one of the support columns on her patio to make a place to attach a chain for her dog.
She bought a screen door and attached it outside her apartment door; then for a couple weeks had the solid door open with her TV sound blasting through the screen.
She bought a charcoal grill and had it just off her patio, "Well the Fire department says it has to be X feet from the building" No, Lisa, the legally binding lease you signed says NO charcoal grills, NONE, are allowed on the property.

And the list goes on and on.

Sometime earlier this year I heard a shouting match between her and a young father from across the hall and to the front a bit where he said to Lisa, "The reason nobody here likes you is you!"

Nailed it.

Thanks!

Some ways better and some ways not.

Still having bigtime ME/CFS flare, to the point where my voice is almost gone.
But hey, at least it isn't messing up my ability to swallow like it does with Dad, who got CFS/ME around 1983 or so.

Driving across the street to grocery store at 9:30 last night to get pizza and some eggnog flavored ice cream, both of which I have no business eating any more, for comfort food, didn't help with either the physical or mental energy levels; I used up the recovery which had been gained to that point.

I glued 3 parts to fill gaps in a spaceship model kit I'm modifying, sloooooooooooooooowly.
And after that I was done enough to need to sleep for several hours.

Just for fun, here's the model;
The kit design and original production run is close to my parent's ages!
This issue isn't that old! Is from 5 years or so ago.

The vertical struts are merely pressed in place; lots of details yet to add, and paint, before gluing the vertical struts on.
Solar panels are loose fit and rotate in mounting points.
